Description of Work: Big Mountain Construction owned by Aaron Sanday is a great local company. Aaron and his crew are happy, hard working people. + -1 moreExtremely well. Aaron and his crew worked steadfastly through some of the worst weather conditions and never missed a beat. When design challenges arose he was able to meet them with creative solutions. Throughout the project Aaron made design suggestions that reflected the importance of scale and materials. From start to finish the attention to finish and detail, and the importance of plumb, true and square were evident. "No challenge was to big for Big Mountain"
Description of Work: I had originally planned to build a low cost pole barn structure with work space below, and the living space above. The engineers and the county felt it was not suitable for a residence and specified that it be stick built. I ended up with a hybrid post & timber/stick frame structure design for what is essentially a 3500 sq ft. home. This was going to be a unique structure, an art studio and workshop occupying the ground floor and the home upstairs. The required stick construction nearly doubled my budget so I had to find many creative solutions. Aaron Sanday Big Mountain Construction came in with a competitive bid, but impressed me with his ideas on how to make this work with the limited budget I had.
