+ -1 moreCalled several local companies and VT Moving was the first to respond and right up front about how things work with estimate and information I provided. No changes at the end of the move the estimate in our case was the correct figure. They had 3 young guys and they were courteous, friendly, answered my questions and concerns. They moved fast but were careful as the move out and move it was all about stair cases and they had many to climb at both locations. The estimated time was correct as well. They cleaned up everything at both locations and all was great. Would recommend them as well as use them again if needed in the future.
Description of Work: Needed to move a moderately large 2BR condo contents to a new 3500 sqft 3 level home. Large furniture, 75 inch 4K TVs and many other delicate items and allot of furniture and containers we packed.

+ -1 moreThe 4 guys showed up on time and went right to work. They packed things carefully when it was necessary and a large move was taken care of quickly and with good humor throughout a long day. They also did everything possible to keep the job from moving into overtime...literally running up and down stairs with heavy boxes. Everything went through without a hitch, nothing was broken or came apart. All of the guys showed care and concern for our possessions while working as quickly as possible. They put in a long day and never stopped for lunch. I really was impressed! My wife and I want to thank Kevin, Zeph, Tristan and Jason for a terrific job.
Description of Work: Moved contents of an apartment to a new apartment. Also consolidated contents of 2 storage units into 1 and moved some contents to the new apartment

Description of Work: Moving is always stressful, and I have had good movers and movers straight from the Nightmare on Elm St. I have moved 4 times in the last 5 years and was dreading the process and decided to go with a "local" company instead of a big name company with subcontractors. So, after reading through their website and checking on several other movers, I decided to go with this company based in Winooski, VT but move people all over the country. This move was across one state line. The women in the office with whom I spoke were amazingly flexible, professional and knowledgeable and super at doing some "hand holding " in calls inquiring how I was doing, knowing this was a hard move for me to make. This was a 2 day adventure with 2 AWESOMENESS movers who were skilled, careful, upbeat, professional, considerate and polite. Kevin was the driver and Tristan was the other mover who worked terrifically well with Kevin. The 1st day they loaded all the furniture including some art they carefully crater. There were very few boxes on this move for them as we had made several "pre-move" trips with a Jeep and a trailer and moved the boxes ourselves. Day 2 was moving, unloading and assembling of a great deal of furniture. I cannot say enough positive things about Kevin, Tristan, Mickey and the other woman in the office. NOTHING was lost or broken among the very many antique pieces they moved. They disassembled and reassembled a complex large "Captain's bed" with ease. This was the BEST move yet, though I hope it's the last. I give this company my highest recommendation without reservation.

+ -1 moreFrom start to finish--seamless with good communication.The estimate was accurate and the move itself was easy to schedule. The crew that loaded our furniture were a very pleasant and professional bunch.They loaded our furniture with incredible speed but were also very careful--our antique piano made it just fine. They unloaded the next day with the same efficiency and attention to detail. Everything arrived intact. I've moved about 10 times in the past, and this was by far the least stressful and best quality move I've ever had.

+ -1 moreFrom contacts with the company, through the actual move they were exceptional. The three men assigned to the move were efficient, careful, kind and courteous. They went "above and beyond." When delivery was supposed to occur in the new location, the landlord was unable to find keys! The guys were patient and helpful through the entire ordeal. When condition of the new apartment was found unsatisfactory, the company helped us with getting needed services for maintenance. Highly recommend this company.

We talked about the job that I need to have done and she said that since they don't have any shipments coming to Chicago at this time and since my furniture pieces are few and small that it might make more sense to use a service like a UPS store shipping service. I love it when a business is honest enough to steer you elsewhere if that is the best solution. Thank you!

+ -1 moreBroke one picture frame, bent a lamp, lost a handle, - my packing or their packing items onto truck, not sure. Pleasant, owned the problems, fixed lamp, decided not to replace glass on picture because of overall changes to info on back of picture, haven't found handle, but "looking?" Overall, nice guys, exceptionally easy to talk with and responsive front office as well. Will use again. Complicated move, hot day, wish it was perfect, but who is? They tried hard, uniformly.
Description of Work: local move, no packing, agreeable to add ons. lots of stairs, tight fits.

I've moved more than a dozen times over the last 20 years and this was by far the most efficient process I've experienced. The process was hassle free and all furniture was picked up and delivered on schedule. The Movers (Robert and Craig) were professional and worked hard to get the move right for us. I highly recommend this business.
