Description of Work: Peachtree Builders re-roofed and re-sided the house, and redid the roof on the front porch. The work quality was good, and the workers were polite, trustworthy and responsive. The only problem came before the work was begun. We were given an estimate. Several months after the estimate expired, we came back and said we wanted the work done. Initially, we were told it would be about the same price. The only changes would be if the cost of material had increased. Unfortunately, the person who did the original estimate forgot to include labor costs, and when this was discovered the estimate went up significantly. The increase essentially erased the cost difference between Peachtree's estimate and the estimates of other companies. And at that point we would have been unable to get on anyone else's schedule. I think it was an honest mistake, and ultimately we were pleased with the work. However, our decision on the contractor might have been different if we had been given the correct estimate at the beginning of the process. And we might not have had to spend quite as much money on the project. I would use Peachtree in the future - but I would make sure that the estimate was complete.
