We put a 50% deposit down on a wood stove, and the soonest they could install it was a little over a month out. After about two weeks they sent someone out to take pictures of the potential installation, and then, the next we heard from them, the installation crew came. To this crew's credit, they said the installation as proposed would not work, (the room was too small) and they offered us all our money back. The woman who ran this crew and made the offer of an unconditional refund claimed to be an owner. We were at that point happy with the organization's honesty and integrity. A couple of weeks later, when we went to collect the deposit, another "owner" Jim, refused to give us our money back and said in a most unprofessional way that he would take it out of the other owner's bonus. He offered us $1000.00 back or a store credit for $2500.00. It needs to be pointed out that we were never told and never signed anything that stated that the deposit was non-refundable...we would have never agreed to that without an estimate based on the proposed siting of the stove installation. This was an unprofessional encounter and we are going to have to spend additional time and money to recoup our deposit. We feel betrayed and will not do business with this company again.
