This all went very well. The job looks nice, and they were able to move the toilet and put it back solidly as promised. Everything was done promptly.

Description of Work: We went here on a recommendation and have been mostly pleased. Dianne was great and easy to work with, I would work with her again any time. We had both hardwood and carpet installed. the carpet install went great, but there was some trouble with the install of the hardwood. It was decided that a new subfloor was not needed, but then the installers had trouble when the new floor was installed, it began pulling up the under floor, causing it to buckle. It was hard to determine a solution and the installers had to come out a number of times to get it to be "okay" the result is fine, but not perfect.
I purchased carpet from this vendor in 2010; it was fine. A nice product, good installers. I also purchased a huge amount of hardwood flooring in 2010. Installation was acceptable, product is lovely, but there have been some warranty problems with it and I have had to push harder than I expect to in order to get satisfaction. However, we sorted it all out, so I hired them to put the same flooring into the kitchen in May 2012. I chose their extremely high bid because I wanted to ensure that the junction between the current project and the flooring from 2010 was handled by the same people. They sent out the worst installers I have ever encountered. These guys had no clue about measuring, their saw blade was dull so the boards splintered but they installed them anyway, they left me with a random arrangement of baseboards and a transition strip of the incorrect color and edge. No attempt was made to lift the old flooring or to level the floor before the install. Last week (August) an installer came to fix these issues. In the meantime, the junction between the 2010 job and the 2012 job had buckled, as I predicted. The guy very methodically cleaned up everything, while explaining to me how little he gets paid, how hard it is to do business in Vermont, and how all these issues were my problem. Yesterday we received a bill for this warranty work, including a charge for a tool that the installer claimed he had had to purchase! On this vendors website it is clearly stated that all install issues are covered free of charge, with no apparent end-date to this offer. When we discuss these issues with the business owner we are told that it is our fault for choosing this product; the claim is that it is sensitive to humidity. I am in contact with the manufacturer and they are not in agreement with this assessment; normal fluctuations in humidity should not be causing these problems. We are still working on sorting out a final solution but no matter what it is, I will never go to this merchant again; there are lots of flooring places in the area. Personally, I have found the owner of this business to be impossible to deal with; he pushes the customer to the edge.

Dianne Daniels was one of the sales ladies. Her and another lady was just tremendous; they even helped us getting stuff out to our car. 2 guys came to install 2nd floor wall to wall carpeting. It took them about a day to get it all done, which was exactly what was estimated. The overall process took about 3-4 months because we started all the repair work and carpeting was the last thing to be done. The installers noticed that the door hinges were made of brass and lubricated graphite which could stain the new carpeting which was a light colored. (That was a good eye and we appreciate that!) They also gave us tips on how to keep it clean and maintain the carpet; it was very practical.
Description of Work: Used them install some carpet.
