About us

Black Ox Roofing installs standing seam metal roofing on residential and commercial buildings using state of the art equipment. The fabrication process begins in our 5000 square foot work shop. Using accurate measurements obtained during a site visit, or from owner supplied architectural plans, we are able to compile a list of the necessary components for each roof system. We fabricate as many items as possible within the controlled environment of our workshop. The remainder of the components are roll formed on site and custom fitted to each individual roof dimension. In this way we are able to provide a "tailor fit" for each and every roof configuration. We will be happy to discuss any and all of the various options available to our potential customers. We realize that each roof project is specific to it's owner and we will try to guide you in the right direction for your specific needs. We are very proud of the fact that our steel product is "Energy Star Rated", and as such is eligible for any tax credit incentives offered at the Federal and State levels. All of our steel can be 100% recycled. Black Ox Roofing Inc. is fully insured. We carry full liability and workers compensation coverage. We will be happy to verify this for you. A job well done and customer satisfaction remain as our primary goals.

Services we offer

Our Services Include Roof Evaluation and Assessment. Recommendations and Advice for Problem Areas. Removal of existing roofing and disposal. In many cases we can offer the addition of Foam Board Insulation over the existing roof deck to enhance the performance of the roof system, as well as adding thermal efficiency to the structure. We install plywood sheathing. And, of course, we install Standing Seam Metal Roofing in single and double lock profiles, with 1" or 1.5" seam heights.

Description of Work: Black Ox Roofing installed a new, standing seam roof on our home. There was a minor scheduling issue that Tom addressed honestly and promptly. Once the work was completed, we were very pleased with the work. The new roof looks amazing and they did a great job of cleaning up the site. We would highly recommend Black Ox for any standing seam roofing job.

Description of Work: Installation of Standing Seam Roofing over asphalt on ~600 square foot roof. Installed 26 Gauge with 1.5 inch Double Lock Seams. Installed "cricket" above stove pipe to prevent damage from snow slide. Also installed 6 feet Ice & Water Shield along eaves directly over the asphalt prior to installing the metal. | |Options and prices quoted (we chose just 3 & 4): |1. Strip of old roofing: $2300.00 |2. Option to Add Foam: $2300.00 |3. New Standing Seam (26 Gauge) $5000.00 |4. Option to Double Lock Seams: $ 400.00 |5. Option to upgrade to 24 Gauge: $ 800.00 | |The work appears to be excellent. The worksite was left in good condition. Tom was professional and responsive. If I had to offer a criticism it would only be that Tom is very busy, so we had to schedule several weeks out. This was not a significant issue for me as we had no pressing time constraint.
