Menard Handyman and Property Maintenance Services

AVOID at all costs. We hired Menards Handyman for 4 construction projects inside of one large job. He finished (very poorly) 1 of the 4 projects before we had to hire another contractor to finish. He took shortcuts, was confrontational and underestimated the timeframe for completion by more than 6 weeks. We were left with plywood over an empty window hole, had to replace all plumbing on a bathroom remodel, he never properly insulated pipes (which ended up freezing), easily the worst sheetrocker/mudder/taper I've seen, we have cracks in the ceiling, another ceiling peeling, he never put insulation under siding, improperly ran electrical wires, flooring is pulling apart and knicked a water supply line and left it leaking inside of an interior wall. He Promised a warranty on all work he performed, when confronted with issues, he never returned emails, calls or text. Beware of positive reviews, 2/3's of them are employees or family. Don't repeat our mistake and pay twice for the same work, hire someone else the first time!

I wish i had read the reviews before hiring Menard Handyman Services. Just like the other reviews, projects were left incomplete or were poorly done and need rework. The proprietor is quick to anger and maked personal attacks when discussing the projects. I regret hiring them, it was a waste of money.

The Menard handyman crew got my family of 7 moved in under a day! Half the stuff wasn't even packed let alone taken apart to move. Nothing was broken or damaged in the move! They were fantastic the entire time. Helped me with anything that I needed help with doing! Even put the items in the rooms requested in the new house!

- [x] Before hiring for any handyman projects please check google and ask around for reviews. Also ask your local home supply company as I wish I did. I heard everything after it was to late! They never finished ANY project and everything they did start we have had to re hire and EVERYTHING has had to be redone and we have the statements from all the new proffesionals to prove it. We have photos as well of the laughable work that they did. I have heard great things about their plowing service but do not under any circumstance hire for any handyman project they have no idea what they are doing. When we asked for our refund for the money owed back for unfinished work we were blocked and ignored. When we informed them that we will be pursuing a lawsuit as nothing was finished and ever needed to be redone the owner sent a very unprofessional message (which we still have in case of denial we will be happy to share) telling me we never paid him anything ( we also have messages and video and witnesses to prove otherwise again will be happy to share along with the photos and statements from the proffesionals we had to hire to fix all of their mistakes) also made comments on how I met my wife on the street corner, we are a joke and that he would counter sue for money unpaid (again we will be happy to share any and all messages when they deny ask them to show the proof that they obviously do not have) anyways VERY unprofessional ask around don’t just listen to me won’t name any of the building supply stores that I have heard other horror stories about this company but do yourself a favor and ask around or save yourself the trouble all together and go with someone else.

I was away before the work could be started and could not inspect the work before payment was made (relying on the contractor's word). When I returned, the sink hole was not filled-in. Gravel was left around the work site to appear that the work had been completed and the roof was still leaking as before. I filled-in the hole myself with crushed rocks and hired a professional roofer to complete the roof repairs.
