Work started off great, estimates were very low due to them owning their lumber yard. Workmanship is below average. Had to have them come back several times to fix things that to this day are still not correct. I will have to hire another contractor to finish detail work as this company did not complete expected work (up to par) If it is was not written in the contract it was not provided, we talked about new stairs, did not go in contract, had to badger him to get them replaced as the old ones were not up to code. Sonotubes were not provided with decks. Had to have bank threaten nonpayment. Once they put sonotubes in they did not line up with deck braces. They were going to leave them like that until I showed them they didn't line up, he got mad and dug them up with my shovel and broke it. Doors in basement had no doorknobs, he explained they don't provide them. (How does one open or close a door without knobs?) The company motto is "from dirt to doorknobs" hmmmm I think they forgot that. Trim was pine that had lots of knots. Seemed like leftover wood, pieces did not match each other were used for framing doors, windows and mopboards. Some pieces were barely held on I shut a door and a piece fell off. The mopboards are almost 1 inch away from wall on top in some spots. Foundation for garage is only 4 months old and already cracking and leaking. Garage walls were not nailed in a bunch of places to studs, had to do that myself before electrician could finish his work.
