Benoure Plumbing Heating & AC

Appointment was scheduled between the hours of 1:00 pm - 3pm. Received a call from the office at 2:35pm saying..."we do not work on mobile homes." Really? Nothing like waiting till the last minute. Not very professional.

The installation itself went ok, but was quite expensive. I required some tech support afterwards (eg, help with the remotes, with some technical issues) that required a brief 10 minute visit from the tech on a couple occasions. Each time I was charged more than $100 in labor. So the support for this new system was expensive. About 1 year after the installation, the system failed. Since it is a backup system (heat+A/C), I didn't call Benoure to repair it until about 18 months after the installation. The tech visited, didn't even look at the outdoor compressor, and told us that we just had the remote set incorrectly. In fact, the tech was incorrect and we understood the system better than he did. After some phone calls, and more visits by plumbers, a plumber actually made the diagnosis-- he told me that it was because the fluid in the lines had leaked, and since the pressure in the system was low, the compressor failed. The compressor was covered by manufacturer warranty (thank you Mitsubishi), but Benoure found a way to charge us for many hours of labor for the replacement of the compressor and to fix the leak. By the time this was finally fixed (2 months after my initial call), the A/C season was over anyway. I asked for the labor on the repair to be covered, since the cause of the failure was the poor installation (fluid leak), on a unit that was only just installed 18 months prior. The customer service rep on the phone laughed at my request, but referred me to a business manager. Eventually, the business manager called me back and told me that I am entirely responsible for paying for this spendy repair. Even though this expensive unit they installed failed within 18 months, they would not guarantee any of their work. Afterwards, the business manager admitted that the compressor on the Mitsubishi unit is very time-consuming to replace, and that they should have just had Mitsubishi provide an entirely new unit and they could have just swapped them out, with much lower labor costs. But it was too late for me -- they are still charging me for the multi-day, multi-tech repair (at high hourly rates), even though they admit that in retrospect it was the wrong way to have repaired it. Although the unit works now, I have no confidence that it will last beyond another 18 months. In summary, they sold me an expensive system and would not back up their work when it failed 18 months later. So now they have profited by charging me excessively not just for the original installation, but also for a lengthy repair.

Jeff and his crew from Benoure were timely and professional. They did a great job installing a new furnace and kept me informed throughout the process.

They show when they say they will! They are a fine company and do a good job. The staff is very pleasant and professional. I will continue to use their service.

Great service although a bit pricey. Takes awhile to get an appointment but they are very responsive with an emergency situation. Professional staff, clean up after themselves very well. Very pleased with their service over the years and if they are a bit more expensive, it's worth it to me because I know the work will be top grade.

All work was provided as promised and on time. The workers were very professional and caring. The system works great. I have the option to add more heating zones in the future and would absolutely return to this company for any future work.

They are very good for big jobs, but you need to be a dedicated costumer. They are very busy so if you have a smaller job, it takes a while for them to get you on their schedule. If you work with them often, they will make the time.

My only complaint is that I had to schedule an appointment several weeks in advance. That was not a big problem, though, since it was not an emergency situation. The plumber arrived promptly on time on the scheduled day. He was able to install the frost-free outside faucet, and repaired the bathroom faucet without having to replace the whole thing. The price for the work seemed very reasonable to me.

They were 15 minutes late to preform the estimate. I then I had to call twice to try and get the estimate. A not so nice lady told me twice that she would email me the estimate. I still have not received the estimate from them.

They came on time and checked our heating system.

On first attempt to run heat/furnace this Fall found that furnace would not fire up. Cycle would start but shut down before ignition or blower fired up. Called Benoure. They could not get to me for a few days, which was fine because the outdoor temperature did not make this an emergency for us. This is why I graded a 'B' for Responsiveness. When technician arrived he went through a very logical diagnosis procedure from simple to more complicated, tried cleaning the burners, changing one of the of igniters, and checking/changing pressure switches. The unit would still not start up, or at least would not remain running for very long. After eliminating all these other possibilities he concluded it was most likely a problem with the control module/board. He made several calls trying to find a compatible module locally, but could not. It would have to be ordered from the factory and the cost would be $500. That's a lot, but much less than a new furnace which was the only alternative. Gave the go ahead for ordering the new module, took about 5 days for it to arrive and to hear back from Benoure. Technician came back out to install the new module which, while compatible, was not identical to the original unit. Some adjustments and adaptations were required to get it mounted and all the connections made to the new module. This took him awhile, but he got it all done and it worked the first time he tried firing it up. Unit has been working great for the past 2 weeks. While $800 (including labor) is not cheap, it is much better than if I had been forced to replace the entire furnace. I was very happy with the knowledge, communication and professionalism of the technician.

.They (2) came in did the installation, gave training on using the new system, cleaned up and left. I liked their work so much they came back the next year to install a stream humidifier on the furnace. Again a great job. I have since called them for issues and they have been helpful on the phone. I wanted to schedule work to be done but I waited too late and they were already booked when I called. My neighbor also used them for his heating and central AC install. I would recommend them!!!

They are awesome. They are quick to do the installation and right to what we said in the contract. Everything has been done. If there were questions they involved me. Overall, very satisfactory work. When they came for the quote they took the time to educate with me for two different options. He was very patient in explaining and taking the time to answer my questions. The price was not the lowest but I felt comfortable with the company and looking at the long term service. I recommend them.

I took time off from work for this appointment. The provider's office called me the evening before scheduled appointment to cancel it due to an "emergency". I don't buy this excuse. I might be wrong, but this is my opinion. There was around 60 degree F and pretty dry. I would not recommend this contractor.

Called with a laundry list of things that needed to be done. The guy was professional and courteous. He changed out the faucets, checked the shower and replaced the knob and head, installed an inside shut off for the outside spicket, talked to me about toilets, and checked the mudroom sink. Roto Rooter said it was rusting away at the floor - he showed me it was just old caulking and nothing needed to be done except a new bead of caulking. He was here for about 4 hours. I am having them come back and give an estimate for my kitchen remodel. 100% pleased.

It wasn't expensive; I got a good deal from them. He was a master plumber, he was young, and he was pleasant. He just sat crisscross and went to work. I have been very satisfied and there haven't been any leaks to this day. He came when he said he would, looked at the situation, and got the parts from his truck.

It went great! I called for an estimate, they showed up when they said and gave me a verbal estimate followed up the written quote. I excepted and they gave me a date for the installation. They showed up exactly as promised, did the work they said they would do and everything was professionally completed.

They were fabulous. I have used them for quite a few years for plumbing. They always do a very good job and clean up after themselves. I'm always very satisfied with them.

I do recommend getting quotes from other vendors as well. I do want to let you know that within the past 4.5 weeks, I have tried to acquire a quote for the purchase and installation of three high efficient toilets. I took the time to visit the three locally owned businesses that Robin recommended I visit. I chose my toilets and gave them a call back. The first time, I left a message for Krista and did not hear back from her. 1.5 weeks later I called back since I hadn't heard from her. Left another message. Called again later in the day and spoke with her and she seemed positive and said she'd get an e-mail right out to me with a quote. After another week and a half I still had not received any e-mail or phone call. So I called back and was put into her voice mail. I did not receive a call back. I called the next day and was told I could have her voice mail...I said no thank you...and not so kindly, if you want my business you will return my call...I will not call again. I haven't called and am very disappointed that I have not heard a reply from Krista or the company. Until this experience, I have all but good things to say about the professionalism and quality service we have received from Benoure. I'd like to think that this is a fluke.

The 3-sided shower we had ordered would not fit in the original space because of the way the wall was constructed for the old shower, so we had to make a decision on the fly to either rebuild the wall or change the type of shower stall. The plumber helped us with the decision and worked in the new specs on the fly. Since he couldn't remove the wall, I had to hire a carpenter who came in a few days later and did it and also levelled the floor beneath the shower. Then the Benoure plumber returned and installed the shower stall. The carpenter came back and repaired the sheetrock around the stall and in the ceiling. The work was done well, efficiently, and in a timely manner. My only disappointment is that while we bought the shower door through Benoure, they would not install it because "they don't have the expertise", and I had to hire a third party.

They did a very good job with the furnace. I recently had asked them to provide me with an estimate on installation of a heater and gas water heater for my rental unit. One of the owners came out and provided me with a ballpark estimate. But when I got the written estimate it was $800 more. They have been in business for many years. I followed up with a call and explained that the quote amount is more and that I might not be able to do both. I never got a call back. I waited for a month and called again, but still didn't get any call back. So I gave the job to somebody else. I wasn't very happy with their customer service.

They do a great job. I spent almost $7000 for the last service. They are very attentive and honest. They give you the estimate, but there is no added fee to it. They are pretty straightforward. When you have a problem, they will come back and work with you. So, they are good with that. The workers were very nice and they cleaned up after the work was done. In fact, they brought their own vacuum. You would have never known they were there. I probably could have got it done for cheaper. Their punctuality was good too.

Krista is the scheduler and did a great job. Scott Gagnon came out to do the work. He were prompt, clean and was well prepared with the proper tools. He explained what he was going to do, what we needed and then did it; all in a timely fashion. The price was reasonable. Dan also came out and replaced the kitched faucets and did get job.

Originally had received an estimate from a different supplier but thought I would check a couple of other vendors. Benoure estimate was about the same but I felt much more confident with the company. The estimator was one of the owners and he describe everything in detail that they would do. They showed up on the day and time they committed, and began the 2 day process. Day one was re-piping and set up of new unit, basement was cleaned before they left. Day 2 the actual conversion to the new system, removal of old system and cleanup of basement. Workers, up to 5 at one point, all polite and professional. Excellent job and no problems since the furnace was installed. It performs as advertised.
