This spring Mr. Derry quoted removing existing shingles, adding new drip edge and standing seam metal for our house and porch. This was to also include getting rid of the old shingles. He explained the cost in detail including cost of each valley (2) and going around 2 skylights. He advised that because of his existing work load it would be fall before he got to our house. This fall he showed up and set up needed scaffolding and removed only enough shingles as he could cover that same day and not chance being rained on. I watched him work and am very impressed with the workmanship and the entire job done. I have done a lot of my own remodeling and chose not to do the roof myself, but I recognized he was doing quality work. Bryan showed up just as it was getting light each day and worked until dark. He is methodical and pays close attention to detail. He put a lot of time and effort into going around each skylight and the chimney so they would be weather proof. He worked alone on the weekend and had a helper on the weekdays. He is very well organized and is efficient at all the tasks required to work with the standing seam metal. He explained to me why certain tasks were done and answered every question I had. I asked him to put a standing seam roof on a bay window that I did not have when he originally quoted the job. He explained how he would charge me for this add on so I knew exactly how he arrived at the cost. When the job was done he cleaned up the area so you could never tell that the roof had been worked on. All scraps were picked up and he ran a large magnet over all the lawn area picking up any nails and screws that had fallen from the shingles removal and standing seam installation. His final cost matched his quote plus our agreed on extra for the roof over the bay window. I will certainly have him put the roof on a future sun room for us and would not hesitate to have him do any remodeling or new construction.
Description of Work: Removed existing shingles and replaced with Standing Seam metal on entire house roof, porch roof and small bay window roof. Also added 40ft of "Snow Guard" to prevent snow and ice from falling near doorways and patio.
