Ron Bryan Seamless Gutters

Mr. Bryan did not perform the work in the time agreed to in the contract. The tasks were NOT performed in a workmanlike manner. Several tasks were not completed at all. When we asked Mr. Bryan to return to correct the poor quality workmanship and finish the job, he demanded additional payment. We have already paid him more than double the original contract price. He gave a verbal quote for additional work, to which we agreed and for which he was paid, but he did not perform key components of this work and some of it is of very poor quality. It is our opinion that Mr. Bryan takes no pride in the quality of his work. It is our opinion that once Mr. Bryan receives full payment, he has no interest in completing the job. We now have to hire another contractor to fix his failures because he refuses to do so without additional payment. In addition, we have been informed that Mr. Bryan has had to settle at least two complaints of home improvement fraud, brought by people who paid substantial deposits and received no work for months.

I contacted this company approximately one month prior to purchasing a house and requested they do an estimate for rain gutter installation as there were none installed. Ron Bryan, the owner, contacted me and said he would get back with me that week with an estimate. One month later, we closed on the house, and I hadn't heard back from the company, so I contacted him to find out if he had looked at the house, he said he had been very busy and that he would be out that week to take a look. (This should've been my first indication not to use this company; he already didn't do what he said he would) Let me say the reason I wanted him to do the install is because on his website, he offered the state of the art Snap Lock gutter system with the Leaf Lock, and I wanted the best for our new house, hence the extended patience with his lack of response/customer service. He finally came out and did an estimate and he stated since I did not have a lot of trees, the Leaf Lock system wouldn't be necessary. He said I would just need the regular gutters (to which I thought he meant the Snap Lock). We scheduled a day, of course he did not come that day, and they were busy and came out the following day and finally did the install. He never gave me a receipt for services rendered, or a written estimate for that matter (another indication). A few weeks later, the rain came and the gutters were not catching rain in several spots. I thought this was impossible with the ?Snap Lock? gutter system. I contacted him via email to let him know the gutters weren?t working in several areas, he said he would come take a look when he got a chance. Four days later, I hadn?t heard from him, and he finally contacted me to say he would have to add additional hardware and that wasn?t included in his original estimate AND that we did not have the Snap Lock system installed. This is when I got other companies to give me a second opinion on the install. The assessment was not positive and the consensus was that I got a shoddy installation and paid way too much for it. I gave him two options at that point, come remove it and give us our money back or give us what we paid for by a certain date. He became very upset in his correspondence, childish in fact, and after several attempts to bully me into giving him the contractor?s name he just stopped communication and did not contact me to correct the problems. I had to file a complaint with the BBB, and still he has not tried to repair his mistakes.
