I can not imagine how this could have gone better! I have very little personnel experience with construction projects especially replacing a bridge. The original stone bridge was damaged and it took some time to resolve the issue with the party responsible for the damage. Steve and the excavating contractor provided original estimates and advice across that span of time. I was very nervous when it came time to actually start the project and worried that things could end up being more expensive than estimated. Steve was very friendly and reassuring and honest about what he thought could and could not go wrong. The work was finished more quickly than expected and for less than expected. I never thought I would be excited about having the front yard torn up and concrete walls erected to replace the stone, but I just marveled at their ability to know what to do and then be able to do it so well. Even my brother-in-law was impressed (that's not easy!) Both contractors were stand up guys and had a great deal of forebearance for my 'nervous nellie' state.
