Kristiansen Construction was hired in summer of 2005 by my wife while I was serving in Iraq to build a drainage system around our house. This cost $1500 and was done satisfactorily. Due to success with that project Kristiansen Construction was hired to build new driveway and remodel 7 rooms of our 14 room house for a cost of $45,000. The problem started once Kristiansen Construction started working on the interior of the house. Kristiansen construction was not supposed to do electrical and plumbing work. We had our sub contractors that we have worked with for 20 years that we wanted to do that work. Once demo was done Kristiansen Construction stated that they could not guarantee the work unless they did all work. Kristiansen construction would not listen to the desires of the homeowner and frustrated the wife that was working as project manager on the project. Kristiansen Construction said that they would custom build a bathroom vanity, but when it came time for the vanity, Kristiansen Construction purchased one from a home improvement store. The contractor was told not to install the vanity as we would go out and purchase one if they were not going to build one as promised. When homeowners returned, the home improvement store vanity had been installed. Kristiansen Construction was to box in bathroom pipes that had to be brought down through the first floor from the second floor. When this was done an outlet was supposed to be moved to the outside of the box. The way that Kristiansen Construction did this was to plug an extension cord into the old outlet and run it to the new outlet and hot wired the wire to the outlet. This was discovered after Kristiansen construction walked off the job and a new contractor was hired to correct all work done my Kristiansen construction. This project was estimate by Kristiansen Construction to be completed in 4 months 14 months later is when Kristiansen Construction walked off the job.
Description of Work: Remodel of 7 rooms and built an enlarged driveway.
