Mr Megrath's contract guarantees his work for 3 years. When it came time to make the final payment at the completion of the job, I saw that there were areas where I could still see the old color through the new and where I could lift the paint off the house with my fingernail. I said I wasn't going to pay until he had either made it right (which he did for the color showing through), charged me less money for a poor prep job, or extended his guarantee to six years. He agreed to the later. 2 1/2 years later, before the original guarantee period was over ,I noticed multiple spots where the paint was already flaking off. Mr Megrath did not return my several phone calls or answer my letter. I took him to court and won, where he said, in front of the judge, "I'm not paying that." I took him back to court for nonpayment and he said he would pay over time. I received 1 check for $300, then nothing. We went back to court and he agreed to $100 per month, which he paid for 3 months, then stopped. I have since put a lien on his house, and washed my hands of him. Do not trust this man or let him anywhere near your house!
