Description of Work: We initially hired Ben for a 3D diagram of some remodeling work we someday plan to do upstairs. We were happy with the diagram. We then hired him to build a corner cabinet for our living room. We originally wanted it to be a built-in unit but ended up having it put on casters because we need to be able to move it. We still wanted it to look built in and it does. He did a great job.

Description of Work: New front porch. Excellent work, timely, reasonably priced. Definitely would use again

Description of Work: We did a total bathroom renovation , had a kitchen floor replaced, a bedroom floor replaced and hardwood floors refinished. Ben does a really nice job. He built our bathroom vanity with matching medicine/mirror cabinets. They are lovely. We would have preferred more communication in the beginning as we were selecting our own fixtures. We were not totally pleased with the mess the subcontractors left who refinished the floors. But overall we are the most pleased with this project than any other we have done. We are exceptionally pleased with the bathroom woodwork.

Description of Work: Ben is fabulous. He built a new banister for us and it is beautiful - it was exactly what we wanted and perfectly matches the existing part. He came when he said he would come, did the work in the time he said he would, and billed us what he estimated. We have other projects in mind for the house and he is definitely who we would call to do them!

Description of Work: Removed a wall between my kitchen and living room. Added a beam to support the ceiling/roof. Installed Drywall to cover the installed beam and exposed wood. Removed electrical wiring and installed new outlets (subcontracted). The work took over a week and a half to complete and the workers never showed up on time any day. They never covered up anything and left drywall dust all over the house. They cleaned up the big pieces, but spilled drywall mud on the floors, my kitchen table, walls, and trim. They removed the base trim and crown molding and left them outside to get rained on (I brought them back in to keep them dry). The work is finished and looks OK, but I was not blown away by service, schedule, price, punctuality, etc.

Description of Work: Made walk-in closet & 1/2 room out of extra room.

Description of Work: Ben built a stair railing for us and installed wainscotting on the wall to match the style of the house. The railing, post, balusters look fantastic!

Description of Work: Ben at Wooden Hammer has done a few different projects for me. He has replaced an old shower door, redone my kitchen, and fixed an old deck. He does fine work, with good attention to detail, and is very intelligent and responsive. Although he does great finish work (from custom cabinets to tiling) he is willing to do more nuts and bolts type stuff like repairing and redecking my old rotting deck. I would highly recommend him.
