As the wife, I will take some responsibility for a possible miscommunication between myself, my husband (who was present), and the service provider. However, upon my calling the company to discuss my concern, I received absolutely no satisfaction. My concern was a consistent odor in the kitchen sink (ever since we'd lived here for 2 years) and a somewhat sluggish draining in the bathroom sink. I wanted simply an assessment/estimate of what the problem might be and what possible solutions there might be. Instead of getting an estimate, I paid $89 for the simple task of cleaning out the drain, something that I do regularly anyway. Upon calling the company as a follow-up, no negotiation whatsoever was offered. Again, as I wasn't present, I take some responsibility for the actions. However, since my follow-up phone call netted no compromise, I would never use this company again and could not recommend them. (Note: the billing address is Montpelier, not Berlin, but the phone number is the same. I got their name from an ad on the phone book, which is the last time I do that.) I will still need to get an assessment of the plumbing status in this house, which due to the odor, is not acceptable for long term.

Our experience with St. Cyr was a bit of an odyssey. Our primary case manager, Julia, was great and the office staff was always very professional and responsive. Unfortunately, the guys they had actually doing the work in our bathroom were not so great (I'm told that as a result of their shoddy work for us they no longer work for the company). The job was originally estimated to take 2-3 days, and ended up taking 2 weeks. The replacement tiling job around our tub is not terrific (some tiles are slightly out of line and a different shade from the rest of our tiles). Several things were just not done right and they had to keep coming back and re-doing them, such as the drywall around our tub. Though the final product seems to be ok, I'm not anxious to use St. Cyr again.
Description of Work: Took out tub and tiles in master bathroom and replaced sections of wall and floor that had rotted and molded due to slow leaking pipe.
