Mr. Rugg collaborated on this project, offering helpful suggestions and practical solutions in the design phase. He demonstrated a clear understanding of the objective and a mutual understanding of the plan to get there. When questions arose, he communicated promptly and effectively. I particularly liked that he proposed and drafted an informal contract so that we both had a clear understanding of the payment terms, scope of work, and the critical details (drawings provided). Other contractors that I have worked with have resisted signing anything. At my request, Mr. Rugg sub-contracted the excavation work rather than me having to meet with a series of contractors and come to an independant agreement and then coordinate the work between the two trades. This arrangment seemed to work well. I am pleased with the quality of the work as well as the final clean-up of the site. Overall a very good experience working with Mr. Rugg.
