 + -1 moreSpafford was extremely professional. All the workers who came to the house were very pleasant & tried to be as unobtrusive as possible. I feel the well work was done correctly. It was not a fast fix however. It took two months from placing the first call to completing the well. I know it was a very busy year but that's a long time with little running water. Once they got the drilling rig to the house it only took 2-3 days. I do wish I had gotten another estimate. The original estimate was $7500 but the final price was $10,000. So I'm pleased with the work that was done but I would definitely shop around next time to try & save some money and/or get it done faster.
Description of Work: Last fall our well was not producing enough water & needed to be drilled.

 + -1 moreThey investigated and performed multiple fixes, including flushing the pipes and increasing pressure in the well tank. They also patiently and thoroughly showed me ways to do my own maintenance to some degree, and what warning signs to look for that the tank pressure was slipping. Overall, they were just tremendous and I'd recommend them highly.
Description of Work: We had slowly declining water pressure for a long time. When it finally slowed to a trickle one day, We called Spafford and. John and his partner were there in less than two hours -- they happened to be on a job not too far way, but it was still a terrific response.

Description of Work: Got a prompt first call and stated what the I thought the issue was. I said I would like to have a service person come out and see if they could figure out what the problem was , waited a week no call!

 + -1 moreOn each job they gave me a price per foot and that is what they charged. Their people are well trained and explain things very well.
Description of Work: Spafford's has drilled four wells for me over the last twenty years with three of them in the last six years. They are not cheapest but they are honest, they have a lot of expertise, they are professional, and they are very responsive on service calls. Two of the wells are farm wells which are out in the open and have major demands on them. I count on Spafford to do the job and they do it well. They will be drilling another well for me in 2013.

 + -1 moreWe could not have been more satisfied. The people were prompt, proficient and even fun to work with. From our experience, I cannot imagine that the other reviewer was working with the same people. They used quality materials and explained everything they did and why. We we completely satisfied and will gladly recommend them.
Description of Work: Our well sprung a leak shortly after we moved in. We called Spafford on a Friday afternoon and they showed up within an hour. When it became obvious that the repair was more complicated than it initially seemed, they made a temporary repair to keep our water working. They came back on Monday with an excavator and dug up the top of the well to replace broken parts. They also went through our entire water system and adjusted it as needed. We we so pleased we had them do some additional repairs on the system

Description of Work: Charge for new pump and labor. Questioned bill, especially $792 for a pump that sell on the internet for $239. Well is still not working correctly! They don't return my phone calls
