Do yourself a big favor and don't hire this firm! Originally, Armand Morel was hired for a big job, over $200,000, but he was fired only part way into demolition. Armand misrepresented the way he would work and was rude to me, and then, after I felt compelled to fire him, he attempted to overcharge me by over $20,600 for the partial demolition he had accomplished to that point. I had to hire a lawyer who advised me to negotiate a settlement, which involved compromises I found difficult to make. My lawyer and I settled for $15,850 on 12/6/23. Armand still got away with thousands more than he should have been paid--plus I had to then pay a legal bill of roughly $2500. Therefore, not including my time, energy, delayed job, and stress, I was out roughly $7250.

We hired Mr. Morel as a general contractor for several projects - a new standing seam roof, a barn, and overseeing replacement of our house siding. Mr. Morel provided limited oversight of subcontractors for our roof replacement and siding replacement. Our roof was supposed to take two weeks and wound up taking over two months. It was dented and scratched throughout and chimneys were improperly flashed. Upon completion of the roof, we notified Mr. Morel that the condition was unacceptable. We gave Mr. Morel ample time (over a year) to provide repair. He made several promises that were never kept and has ignored final demands for repair. Mr. Morel failed to properly supervise the contractor hired to replace the siding of home and, as such, the contractor walked off the job and we were forced to hire Mr. Morel's crew to finish the job that had already ran well beyond schedule. The cost was substantially higher. We also hired Mr. Morel to construct a barn and workshop. He did not provide documentation of expenses that exceeded his agreed-to quotes, despite our requests. Additionally, we have since discovered several minor issues that will require us hiring someone to correct them.

Excellent work by very professional and dedicated contractor Armand Morel. Easy to talk to and very helpful with ideas and suggestions that worked out beautifully. I am asking him to come back in the spring to add a new building to the property

Everything went fine...the floor was done 1st day so the plumber could get to work. The contract factor came back 2times so the ceiling work had time to dry.

I was referred to Morel Construction by JR's Plumbing, who I had hired to do the work plumbing work. After a few scheduling hiccups things got going. What I thought was going to be just an upgrade in tub, sink, and toilet turned into a full remodeling job. And I'm glad it did. Between Armand, his wife, and his crew and the plumber they gave great ideas to improve what I had. I wound up with a larger bathroom with a more practical layout and I moved my washer/dryer in as well. Armand and his wife even came in on a few weekends to get the job done. The demo went pretty quick and the rebuild was a juggle between plumber, electrician, and construction . I found Armand and his crew easy to work with and they answered all of the many questions I had. I had Armand build me a door that I wanted to look rustic. He had some rough wood at his shop and he built a door with old handmade nails that he clinched and found on old gate latch to use. I was very pleased with what he did. Armand came in on the price he quoted me in his original estimate even tho the work lasted longer than he had anticipated. I found the quality of his work to be very high and would recommend him to anyone. I am completely happy with the end results that I have in my new, warmer, more attractive bathroom. If I had any more work to be done i would hire him again without reservation.
