From a 9:00 message left by us on Sunday morning to the follow up call and appointment early the same afternoon, we were very pleased with the Vermont Well and Pump experience. Rob diagnosed our suspiciously quiet and completely non productive well pump and showed me just where the thick twist of wires had frayed down. He offered to replace the pump that fritzed out with a new one, and had us up and running again in 2 hours! Just 24 hours after realizing our predicament we are happily back to normal.
Description of Work: Diagnose and resolve water not working.

Paul called me as soon as he could and with his directions I righted my wrong in less than five minutes. We had water again immediately. I was so glad that they were willing to discuss it by phone before scheduling a service call. It saved them time and effort, and helped me to feel like I had fixed my own mistake (and of course saved me money, too). Truthfully, I hope I never lose my water again, but if I do I will certainly call Vermont Well & Pump.
Description of Work: I accidentally bumped my well pump pressure switch box and whoops, no water! I called Vermont Well and Pump and asked if they could help me troubleshoot over the phone.

Description of Work: They were very good. The only complaint I had was the subcontractor that |they used for part of the job. They left a mess that cost me several hundred dollars to clean up. Vermont Well and Pump was very reliable and I would definitely use them again.

It went well. The problem was solved in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Our well pump stopped working. Called VT Well & Pump and they were there by that afternoon. While very punctual, it was odd that that they did not confirm the appointment beforehand - they just showed up. Luckily my husband was there and gave permission for them to proceed with the work. He did not get an estimate though and we were a bit shocked at the price. They did solve the problem and our well pump has worked great since. This is the second time they have done work for us, both times were satisfactory.

Receptionist at VWand P was congenial and we set up a time at my convenience. Paul called and asked if it would be OK if he came a little early. Upon arrival he immediately went to the basement and took current measurements on the pump circuit. His meter showed that the pump was drawing a higher than normal amount of current upon starting and stayed a little high while running. Seeing as it was tripping the circuit breaker and that it was 25 years old, we decided it should be replaced. Paul raised the pump from its 275 ft depth using a pump pulling wheel on the back of a specialized truck. The pump was a mass of what looked to me to be red algae. We have a high iron content in our well water as well calcium. The intake screen was not fouled, so this further confirmed that the pump was going bad. The pump was replaced with a 1/2 HP Goulds. In the process of separating the pit-less fitting, Paul got sprayed pretty good as we forgot to relieve the pressure in the second dwelling. Though he got pretty wet on a somewhat cool day, Paul took it all good naturedly. A week later, again at my convenience, Tyler arrived on time to replace our old steel pressure tank with a 22 gallon Flexlite fiberglass one. Everyone at VT Well and Pump was congenial, prompt, and professional. I feel we got a fair deal and excellent service.
Description of Work: Our 25 year old deep well pump started tripping circuit breaker. Decided on Vermont Well & Pump on recommendation from a neighbor. Also, thought it might be smart to replace the pressure tank in the basement as it was nearing it's 35th birthday. The pump supplies water to two dwellings each with its own pressure tank.
