Description of Work: Performed roof installation- removed all metal roofing(old Style) stacked neatly by dumpster. brought dumpster in and utilized planking so not to damage driveway in the heat of the sun. picked up all tooling and materials and trash everyday prior to leaving site. performed minor construction of rebuilding two each bird nest on the south side of house, plus installed two each ventilation vents for attic venting, primed/painted all exterior trim and such. extremely happy with this job and done extremely professional. will definitely utilize again in the future for many of our upcoming construction jobs.

Description of Work: We have had Scott and the EMC team do four major jobs for us now (July 2011 - Feb 2012). 1) Roof replacement: Scott was by far the most professional of everyone we requested quotes from. He explained the materials he was going to use, why he liked using that system of materials, how much it was going to cost, and when they could start the work. We gave him the go-ahead, and within a week of his original estimate, his crew was on the job. Unfortunately, Irene showed up before he was finished, but his guys had things buttoned up tight enough to avoid all but one small leak. No surprises on the final bill, no leaks, and a pretty good clean-up job. 2) Deck door / window replacement: This was a LARGE 9' unit, on an upper deck. No way to get it up there by going through the house. I'm still not sure how they got it up there, but they did. Then spent the better part of 1.5 days making it fit properly. Scott had padded his estimate a little, based on past experience with 25 year old window/door replacements, so we didn't get any nasty surprises with the final bill. Even with the padding, he was competitive with the Pella and Marvin "direct to you" guys. 3) Hardwood refinishing: First time in 25 years, and the last time for us in this home. Again, Scott came in with competitive prices, including replacing wood that had been water damaged over the years. It's hard to get excited about a floor, unless they look like they do now. A REALLY nice job, and no surprises in the final bill. 4) Skylight replacement: We probably should have done this when the roof was being re-done, but hind-sight is always 20-20. Anyway, this was another unusual situation with no current sky-lights being the correct size. Scott priced out several options for us, we gave him the go-ahead on one of them, and poof. The work was started on time, and finished in two days. Again, no surprises on the final bill.

Description of Work: Scott and the guys at Eastern Mountain Contracting finished our basement for us. This was no small project because the basement had been partially finished by the previous owners and was a MESS. They ripped out the existing ceiling, installed new lighting, installed smoke detectors on all floors, strapped everything, framed everything, put up drywall, taped/mudded it, installed cabinet doors, and even cleaned up. Everything! They did a fantastic job and when they run into problems or things they didn't expect, the owner clearly communicated that and actually didn't charge me for extra work that they did. They were VERY professional and I'm going to be working with them to paint the interior of the rest of my house. I highly recommend this group.
