Integrity First Custom Carpentry LLC

Mr. Josh Johnson, of Integrity First Custom Carpentry, has just put the finishing touches on built-in cabinets and columns beside my fireplace.
We had to wait for him to finish another job before he could start, but it was well worth the wait. He has done a beautiful job from helping me with the initial design, suggesting changes to enhance the project as we went along, to choosing the right paint finish. It is simply beautiful, every detail even better than I dreamed.
The job was entirely custom, from the mortise-and-tenon glass front doors with custom Praire-style muntins, to the keystone in the arch.  The painted finish is gorgeous. It is also built strong and tight.  
In addition, Josh has kept the workplace spotless, always the sign of an excellent craftsman.
As if that wasn't enough, he is a very personable and polite young man, too. It's hard to sing his praises enough.
Integrity First is right.
I highly recommend him, and hope to hire him again for my next project. 

All I can say is yikes! We went with Josh Johnson's company, Integrity First, because we had good experiences working with a friend of his.  His estimate was the highest so we decided to work with him on an hourly rate. I think Josh was in over his head with this sheet rocking and lighting job as he was not able to  handle the job.  He made a mistake with strapping the ceiling that cost us a full day of work for which we footed the bill. Additionally, he seemed to spend a lot of time standing around while his worker worked even though we were being billed for his time hourly as well.  He left early and came let but still charged us as though he had worked a full day. The last straw was when his taper and mudder didn't show up and he told us it would cost even more to finish the job.  We told him that wanted to use someone else for the rest.  We told him that we weren't happy with the way our belongings had been treated--mud all over everything even though we'd provided plastic to protect our things.  An expensive Ethan Allen Table chipped and gouged in a very noticeable way. He became extremely irate--demonstrating that he is very volatile.  We asked him to leave because we have two small children and he was angry and yelling.  He had his girlfriend with him and she screamed "fat b****" and slammed the door.  I knew they were a little rough around the edges but to scream such obscenities in front of little kids no less?  Now that's pretty classy. I'd say that using the word "integrity" in his business name is more than a little stretch considering he was dishonest and didn't deliver everything promised.
