When we started the process of looking for a new house, we only had a vague idea of what we wanted and what the process would entail. After being introduced to Joe, we immediately felt comfortable with him and his style. While we had another person help us with the floor plan and design, Joe offered a wealth of ideas, advice and options. When the design was mostly finalized, the fixed price quote he offered was reasonable and in-line with other options. By this time, we started to hear about his reputation for quality and timely work and we signed the contract. Once the dirt road firmed up in the spring and he was able to bring in the excavating equipment, the whole process was extremely efficient and professional. From ground breaking to move-in date was only 3 months. We had heard that once Joe gave a date, he'd meet it and he did. His workers are skilled and Joe is a master at coordinating their work, material deliveries and subcontractors. We decided on a few changes during construction and they were done without complaint and always for a fair (if any) additional change. The only problems we had were with the subcontractors of the flooring subcontractor. Their workmanship and professionalism were lacking. Joe did a great job working with the flooring firm to have (most) of the issues resolved. We'd recommend Joe to anyone interested in building a new house and would be more than happy to serve as reference.
