I saw them at a trade show. They were very professional and very knowledgeable. They were just very clear about what they were going to do and what potential issues were going to be and how they are going to address a variety of things.

The only evidence they were here was that the trash can was moved. I then realized the work was done seeing the new shutters. I wanted them to reuse the holes the old shutters used and they did. They did an excellent job removing, cutting and fitting our +18 year old siding to the new light blocks. My only complaint was I found a screw and plastic bag in the siding but that is minor.

A NIGHTMARE! Not only did they smash my storm windows in a deliberate attempt to try to force us to buy windows(we purchased elsewhere) the owner "snapped" and tried to challange me to a fight on MY property in front of my wife and father in law. My father in law inspected this "awful" job and told me that "there was something wrong with the siding". We sent a letter to the company demanding that they have a siding manufacter rep come and inspect our home. They brought a sales rep who, wants to sell more siding! When I was visited by this company's owner, I explained to him that our house had no sheathing and we wanted to have the house sheathed. we were told that "we did not need sheathing because the Craneboard Siding was rigid enough" My wife and I asked several times why they used no sheathing. The first day the project started, we came home and the crew had "smashed" all of our storm windows and threw the windows into the dumpster. It was the fall of the year and we were now FORCED to buy new windows. What happened after that was a CIRCUS! They used the wrong trim pieces and they drove nails into the face of the siding to keep it from running! The biggest mistake they did was not reading the product lititure that they were installing because they installed it right over the studs, without sheathing or a approved housewrap! We noticed buckling of the siding as well as "ROT" AND water coming INSIDE OUR HOUSE!! We were "promised" by the owner that they would come out in the spring and fix a list of problems, they NEVER showed up! The kicker of the whole thing is that they gave us a "EMPTY" warranty book with the pages "torn out". My wife researched the products warranty online and we discovered that because of the improper installation, we had NO WARRANTY! We called the siding company and they told us because of the improper installation, we in fact had NO WARRANTY! We have filed a suit in Chittenden Superior Court (www.vtcourts.gov) and you will never believe the pack of lies that these people are coming up with to "save their own skins" They claim that they "offered"us sheathing and told us that we would not have a warranty and we "didn't want to spend the extra money"(A HUGE BOLD FACE LIE!) They claim that the owners wife was present at the first meeting and "heard" the owner(her husband) offer us sheathing and we said "No-Go ahead and install it wrong and we don't care about a warranty" (ANOTHER BOLD FACE LIE!!) They even have the NERVE to insist that this was a excellent job.....Well let me tell you whats happening! I had the house fully inspected in detail by a award winning builder in vermont who has won awards for "OUTSTANDING QUALITY" AND HE REPORTS THE HOUSE IS BY FAR--"THE WORST VINYL SIDING JOB HE HAS EVER SEEN IN HIS 30 YEAR BUILDING CAREER!" The estimate to repair our house is now at $80,000 and growing! All my window frames are ROTTEN! The siding was put back on with no insulation as they removed that.ROT EVERYWHERE!
