Terrible. ....they took 2 1/2 weeks to repair my mother's water heater......first smart valve was suposibly broke...new valve .....new valve worked just once then quIt ...then another valve on order ....oops wrong valve week later !! Now got get another part.....2 1/2 weeks later I replaced whole heater my self ...they wouldn't credit me for anything ......very bad business to try to depend on !! I asked them without answer"how long there mother would be out of hot water" ! Jerks!!

Fred's came to my home for a simple problem. They did NOT discuss age of my house or pipes before snaking a pipe but after they broke the entire sewer, the age of my home became a hot topic, blaming the fact that my pipes were old on the fact that they destroyed the sewer line. They did NOT talk to me before the procedure, they did not explain that an old house might have fragile pipes, they completely disregarded my integrity as a homeowner. The plumbers tried to leave my home without letting me know what had happened and they wrapped the entire pipe with duct tape. This was a 1/2" fracture the entire circumference of the sewer line where it met the discharge pipe for washing machine and kitchen sink. Duct tape and no one said anything until I asked if the procedure was a success. The #2 man at Fred's told me this kind of thing 'happens all the time'. If that is the case why didn't they discuss it with me before the fact? They did not come back to fix, in fact, their #2 man called and said, "we won't be coming back to your house", this was after i'd been without plumbing for 5 days! So, I had to pay $950 to another plumber to set it right, 12 days after it happened. I also lost 2 airbnb clients because I had no plumbing. I have now received a bill for $620 from Freds for the 'work' they did. I wrote a letter to the owner explaining the situation and he never had the common courtesy to acknowledge my serious concerns. Fred's proved to be unprofessional every step of the way. When you are looking for a plumber, please ask yourself if you want a plumber who uses DUCT TAPE to fix a sewer line that has been completely severed around the entire circumference of the pipe. Also ask yourself if you would like to have a plumber that actually speaks to you and does not say, "well, we can't be expected to tell everyone everything." Actually, as a consumer and a homeowner, I do expect my contractors to tell me everything.

They were able to get it fixed in about 5 minutes. They even came the same day we called. We have used them for 30 years and have always been satisfied with their service.
