Duraclean Carpet Service

The appointment was scheduled at a time convenient to me. The technician arrived on time. He used a large portable carpet cleaning machine which was different from other providers who are connected to a service truck. Just about all spots were removed from a older carpet. I had picked up most objects on the floor. I did not have him move beds or dressers. He did not try to upsell me with scotchguard. The carpets were left quite wet. He said they would dry in 5 hours and they did. On the plus side, it was a low humidity day which helped and I stayed off the areas most of the day.

This family owned business sent out their very capable and polite son to remove the stain, my primary reason for calling them. I had used some Woolite carpet and upholstery cleaner right after the spill, but it was ineffective and the stain was unsightly. Al first applied a special stain remover and intensly washed the area of staining and then washed the remaining carpet. The stained area was much improved, but not completely. He advised me to wait for the carpet to dry and then would return if the stain was not completely gone after drying. He returned in 2 days and applied a different stain remover and this 2nd treatment was very effective. He did not charge until he had completed the second treatment. Saved our carpet and all the aggravation that would have been involved in replacing it.

They are polite and efficient. My carpet is old and they did their very best to work on heavily soiled areas. I feel they went beyond my expectations

All in all, I'm satisfied. The only criticism of the process is that in walking from the damp carpeted LR/DR areas into the kitchen we tracked in cleaning residue from the carpet which made the smooth kitchen floor sticky. I suspect this was residual cleaning detergent which could have been removed from the carpet if a separate rinsing process were used, but it wasn't. Once the carpet dried, there was no problem. If you have chemical allergies or are worried that the residue might attract dirt, I'd suggest you ask for a clean water rinse after the cleaning process, but they will have to charge more as it will take additional time to do.

The two men arrived promptly. They were friendly and helpful. My carpet was clear except for two pieces of furniture; they helped move them. They spent about 1-1/2 hours cleaning. I have a beloved cat that unfortunately eats too fast and then vomits; I clean them with Oxyclean and a brush, but stains remained; I'd been hoping Duraclean could remove those stains entirely, and they got most of it off, but a faint discoloring remains. To my surprise they successfully removed ome rust spots from the carpet.

Very well. Al, the technician, worked very hard on the spots and was a nice guy and very professional. Ended up giving him a $20 tip. Quite a few people I know pick Sears to clean the carpets; I don't know how hard they work, but I know Duraclean will work very hard to do a quality job and has been locally owned for a long time. I purchased carpeting from them in my old house.

The fellow arrived 20-30 minutes late, but he got right to work. The job took longer than the 2 hour estimate, but it was well worth it. I wasn't watching, but I could hear the scrubbing and the cleaning. A long, noisy process but we now have carpets that look great. We're more impressed with the older carpet and steps which we considered replacing because of ground-in dirt. The worker was very friendly and professional, as is everyone at this Duraclean.
