Description of Work: Outstanding, high-quality construction of a replacement 20x16 deck and stairs, using Azek composite decking and plastic railings. Work was done professionally and in a timely manner. Contractor was responsive and delivered on time, to the estimate. Not the least expensive quote but well worth it.

Description of Work: Tore off a 10x14 wood deck and replaced it with a 18x24 Azek deck in five work days! Now we have a totally maintenance-free deck that looks brand new one year later, even after our rough winter. They worked with us and did everything we asked, including removal of old shrubs, pouring five-foot deep concrete footers, and building a bench around the perimeter of the deck. Best contractor we've ever used!

+ -1 moreAfter reading the other reviews I chose DC Construction to build a new deck. I first called and left a message but never received a return call. I tried calling a couple of more times and finally got a hold of David. He asked me a few questions over the phone and explained he was in Virginia, and might possibly stop by for an estimate on his way back to Vermont. That date came and went with no reply from David. I waited a few more days and filled out the online message board for his company. Almost another week went by before I received a call from David. At that time, we made an appointment for Friday at 1:00 pm for him to come and discuss an estimate for a new deck. I waited almost 3 hours and finally gave up on DC Construction showing up! It would have been nice to at least get a phone call saying he couldn't make the appointment! Needless to say, I personally have not had a good experience with DC Construction!
Description of Work: Was supposed to return calls and show up for estimate / consultation on building a new deck.

+ 0 moreDave did a great job from start to finish. As his website promised, he called when he said he would, he showed up when he said he would, he provided an estimate when he said he would. He and his crew were professional, did great work and cleaned up after themselves. There were no cost overruns though the original estimate was higher than we were expecting.
Description of Work: Added 12 foot deck to existing porch with railing and gate.

+ 0 moreThey are actually the best builders I have ever dealt with. I didn't have any problems. They paid attention to detail and cleaned the work site every day after they were done. They used their time efficiently. The staff was very good in every respect. They showed us everything that they were going to do, and they did it. Most people don't do that. They were really good to deal with. Everything was fine. They are still in business.
Description of Work: I used Decks by DC Construction to build two decks, a front porch, and a walkway.
