ADVANCED BASEMENT TECHNOLOGIES

the company fixed my basement, and were suppose to warranty the work, and come back twice a year to tighten up the wall braces. Evidently they went out of business and someone else allegedly took over the name, but some or all of the same people still work there. Now I have to pay travel time and an hourly rate to have them tighten the wall braces. As I stated above, I now have to pay for the time and travel expenses to have them tighten the braces on the wall, not to mention maintenance on the sump pump. I'm not sure who own the company now, or if this is some kind of scam. I would be very hesitant to use them, it seems like some kind of fraud, to get more money out of me.

They were completely incompetent--actually made the problem worse and damaged the landscaping tore down my internet line, blew a hose on their machinery band sprayed hydraulic fluid all over my windows and tried to bury trash on my property when I wasn't at home and without asking!! HORRIBLE!! My basement is as wet as ever--maybe more so--they never returned my call. I am about to take them to court.

The work itself was fine. MOST IMPORTANT POINT: The work has a lifetime guarantee, passable on to the next owner. We have not had any leaks since, and that was months ago. It doesn't look pretty, but we didn't ask them to beautify it and we don't intend to finish the basement. The not so great part was that we had taken off work the day the work was scheduled, but informed too late that day that they wanted to reschedule. They ended up sending a crew in late afternoon/early evening, so we all had to hear the sound of the drill. They plugged something into the emergency battery for our pellet stove, blowing the fuse, and not telling us about it. They also left a layer of drill dust on top of the pellet stove. The cost I quoted may not be exactly right, since it has been a few months, but I do remember it cost less than I thought it would. I would have gotten it taken care of long ago if I knew the cost. We didn't realize what a chore it had become to wet vac the basement repeatedly when it rained.
