I contacted Eric to get an estimate to build my pantry - happened to catch him on the road. He immediately impressed me by asking me to hold while he pulled off the road. We arranged for him to come in a couple of days to look at what I wanted to do. Again I was impressed when he suggested he was available at 7:00 AM (I'm always up well before then). He arrived on time! After consulting, Eric promised me an estimate by the end of the week (I think it was a Wednesday when he came) - well, the estimate arrived by email that evening. Based on other estimates I had gotten and the fact that I felt comfortable with Eric, I contracted with him to perform the work. The guys that performed the work were always prompt, always courteous, always let me know what was happening and what was next. I never had any concerns. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. An example of one of the things that impressed me: the frame of the pantry comes close to the circuit breaker panel. Under that panel is a connection to hook up a generator. The previous owner had written instructions for how to do the connection on the dry wall. The framing for the pantry covered some of those instructions. When the work was done, I was "inspecting" and discovered that the guys had taken a small piece of drywall and copied the instructions down! I was impressed to say the least. I had one minor concern about the threshold when everything was done. Eric address it promptly and satisfactorily. I will recommend Eric and his company, Titan Contracting, to anyone!

I found Titan Contracting on Angie's List. I contacted them by telephone and set up an appointment with Erik Quam for a few days following the call. Erik arrived promptly, listened carefully to our plans for renovating and slightly enlarging our master bathroom, and took measurements. He was courteous and professional. He promised to send a detailed estimate by email within a week, which he did. His estimate was about $16,000. We had another estimate of about $15,000 from another contractor (Bruce Livingston), who had done a nice job of renovating our guest bathroom a few years ago. We decided to do business with Bruce again, but would not have hesitated to work with Titan if Bruce was no longer in business.
Description of Work: They provided an estimate for gutting and enlarging our guest bathroom.

I purchased two of these deals to get a consulation on both my kitchen and my bathroom. The meeting went well. The owner came out for the estimation. He was professional and thorough. Since I wasn't ready to start the work anytime soon, he explained in detail that prices may change down the road and that he can adjust the project and cost for me when I am ready to begin. Even though he knew I wasn’t ready to do the work he treated me with respect and concern for my needs. He couldn’t give me a price up front, but he gave it to me within ten days which I was very impressed with.

Having dealt with Erik before he was one of the first plumbers I attempted to contact. I had emailed requesting a quote for replacing my hot water heater. I had done the same with a few other companies. When Erik contacted me he could not do my work for about 4 days and I could not wait so I started contacting other companies. Titan would be my first choice for a number of things done around the house.

The gentlemen called to let me know he was running late because he was stuck ion the highway due to an accident. He was friendly, professional and did the job to my satisfaction. The job took a little longer than anticipated, but that was to be expected since I originally only wanted one doorway complete and then changed it to two. The price was a little more than I expected, but I would use them again for future jobs.

I contacted Erik thru Angie's list because of the reviews. They were correct. Erik arrived promptly as promised and after a few questions to make sure what I wanted and did not want done provided me with an esitmate and start/completion dates. His work crews all arrived on time and coordinated their efforts to get the job done while not impacting the other tasks being performed. When working with wall board, it was installed a day before the gentleman came to mud the wallboard, when he was finished and moved to another room the trim was installed. The work was all completed without any issues and on time. I am very happy with the company and employees. I would recommend them highly for the way they worked as a team to complete the task at hand.
Description of Work: Titan Contracting was hired to put new wallboard and trim molding in a room, bathroom, and hallway. The room had the trim and the wall panels removed 1/2 up the walls from the floor. The bathroom had all wallboard, including ceiling, removed as well as a shower stall , toilet and sink. The Hallway had one wall with all wallboard removed.

Thank you for the wonderful review member. I just feel I needed to add some of the scope of work so that the price grade of "C" is justified. We had also demoed/jackhammered the concrete floor in the bathroom to relocate the drain line for the existing shower so that we could install new pipe and drain. We also installed new shower diverter, shower head and shower enclosure. We had to re-frame the shower area where the water remediation company had missed areas of rotten wood, which we took care of at no additional charge because all the framing was exposed and we should have seem it, and advised you on the replacement needed of the rotten framing which we failed to do. Again, thank you so much for the review and kind words. We greatly appreciate and value our customers and their input.

I want to re-do my kitchen but want to start first with re-design so I can put together a three-year plan. I purchased a design from Titan Cont. LLC via an Angie's list email. I was contacted by the company and made an appointment with Erik to get a re-design for my kitchen. He arrived and listened to what I wanted to change. I let him know that I was looking to get three different designers and three plans to deal with the layout issues in the kitchen. He measured, took notes on what appliances I wanted to keep or replace, and asked questions. He emailed me three different versions (a basic and two others) and a list of references. I got what I wanted.
Overall Titan Contracting LLC performed great work. Erik was really quick about scheduling an estimate (I also got an estimate from him for my upstairs bathroom remodel). I was happy with the cost he quoted (it was great he included all materials in the estimate) and he did a great job working around my schedule. I really, really appreciate how flexible he was and how responsive he was to my changing schedule. The work was done quicker than the projected time frame and the craftmanship was fantastic. I'm so happy with the end result - the attention to detail on the trim and removal and re-installation of the 100+ year old original trim was fantastic. His team was very friendly and did a great job containing the work and cleaning up when finished. Part of the way into the remodel it was discovered that one of the walls couldn't be removed completely due to plumbing running through it. I really liked that this was brought to my attention quickly and I was given different options prior to proceeding. We were able to talk through a solution and progress with the rest of the job. I'm very impressed with the flexiblity, professionalism, and expertise of Erik and his team. I'll definitely be calling him to complete my bathroom remodel!
Description of Work: Remodeled master bedroom walk-in closet. The original closet was built by previous homeowner by adding walls in a smaller room attached to the master bedroom (making a walk-through closet into a now smaller room). The original closet was built around existing closets in both the bedroom and smaller room. I wanted to have the walls and drop-ceiling of the original closets knocked out (and one of the doors removed and sealed up) in order to open up the walk-in closet area to two large, open closets (instead of being added piece-wise to existing, enclosed closets). Also, I had the original trim removed from inside the original closets and installed around the door frames to the new walk-in closets. Additionally, trim was added along the baseboard of the walk-in closet to match existing trim in the room. Finally, the ceiling fan was moved to be centered in the new, smaller room.

This was well worth the money. I am trying to decide on what I want done and his work is making it easier for me to decide on what I want to do. He has a wealth of ideas and information.
Description of Work: Erik Quam, Titan Contracting owner, called to arrange a time to see my kitchen. He kept the appointment, was on time and left his business card. He talked with me for about a half hour, asking questions about how I used the kitchen, what I liked about it, and what I would like to see changed. He looked at everything - from ceiling to floor- plumbing and electric switches were noted. He took measurements from a variety of places, made lots of notes, offered suggestions and asked more questions. A couple of weeks later he emailed two sets of plans as I was not sure about keeping the peninsula or not. The plans are very detailed and included cost estimates for both designs. The pictures make the designs easy to see and cabinet numbers and measurements are also included.
The work was all done top notch. It was done properly the first time and they completed the work when they said they would. The work was well worth the price.
Description of Work: They did work on another home we own. They prepared our home for rental. They painted the interior of the home, pressure washed the deck, and stained the deck. They also did some tile work and cleaned the gutters.

Finally, what a great experience! Titan Construction was the 3rd contractor that we contacted to have a pedestal sink, drain and faucet installed. The original builder glued the previous pedestal sink to the wall so this job required the removal of drywall, installation of a backer board and then drywall replacement and repair. Erik was a pleasure to talk to on the phone, very professional and organized. He didn't just agree to a date and time, he had a planner and took the time to document the appointment. He demonstrated that he fully understood the scope of the job to ensure that there would be no hick-ups later. Erik and two helpers showed up promptly on time to accomplish the work and had all of the material needed on hand. All three were professional, personable and courteous. What an amazing job. They installed our new sink, the drain and new fixtures that we purchased earlier. The drywall repair was perfect and they thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned the room before leaving. Erik and Titan were the least expensive (by far) of the three contractors we contacted and could not have done a better job. All three contractors were highly rated on Angie's List. We had communication problems with the first two contractors and one of them suggested that we give up on the pedestal sink and instead install a vanity. It's such a good feeling to have found someone we can rely on in the future.
Description of Work: The original builder glued the previous pedestal sink to the wall so this job required the removal of drywall, installation of a backer board and then drywall replacement and repair after the sink was installed. We also had the plumbing done, i.e. installation of the drain and faucet/fixtures. We purchased the sink and fixtures.
Titan Contractors (Erik Quam) responded to our request for a visit of the unit and quote on entire job. Titan was one of three (3) estimates obtained for the job. Erik submited a quote, which was in line with the other two, two days later. We choose Titan because of the detail and content of thier quote. Erik and his crew started the job at a pretty good rate. The progress of the work was conveyed to us on a regular basis. When the crew ran into an obsticle, plumbing issue, Erik contacted us with the solution. The solution was not within the job scope and caused additional cost for the overall job. However, knowing the restrictions on cost for the job, Erik was willing to negotiate/work with us on the cost for the plumbing issue. Three weeks into the job, we noticed the amount of time spent did not equal the amount of work that should have been completed. We had a discussion with Erik about the status of the job at that time. As a result, Titan Construction step up thier effort, brought in the A-Team, and completed the entire job on time, according to the newly establish completion date. Titan Constructor, Inc did a great job with renovation of our single family rental home. Working with Erik was a professional, productive, and pleasant experience. We would recommend Titan Contractor (Erik Quam) to our family and friends for new and future work! KSB
Description of Work: Take an inhabitable, single family, 897 sqft, 3BR, 1BA house that had been ruined by the previous tenant, and make it attractive and worth renting. The follow job scope was performed: - Convert rear sun porch/room into an official bedroom - Gut the entire kitchen and renew it (new cabinets, refrigerator, and stove) - Gut the entire bath room and renew it (new tub, toilet, and vanity) - Take up all floorimg material throughout the entire house. Lay laminate and ceramic tile flooring - paint entire interior space
I was extremely pleased with Erik Quam's work (Titan Contracting), and have recommended him to neighbors, friends, and acquaintances. Not only did he conduct himself in a professional and polite manner, but he is truly an artisan; his work is most extraordinary. He consistently went above and beyond to get the the job completed in a timely manner without sacrificing quality. In addition, I feel the need to mention that he finished the work ahead of schedule, within the agreed-upon budget, an also did an unprecedented job of cleaning up afterwards. I will definitely plan on hiring him to remodel my second bathroom in the very near future, I must also add that I have received several compliments on Erik's work....kudos!

Hi, this summer business for Titan Contracting has been at an all time high, our response times have been a bit slower because our timeline for starting new jobs right now is September 1st. We try our best to respond to every email and phone call received, but every now and then one slips by. You might try following up with a phone call if you are still interested in having us out for an estimate. We apologize for not responding in a more timely manner.

I contacted Erik on Monday, July 23 about doing some work on a crack in my cieling that had water damage. I did not have a plumber yet, so he refered me to his plumber. I called Erick back on Tuesday the 24th to try and get a qoute on how much it would be to fix the crack (replace the drywall and paint). He never called back. I tried to call again on Wednesday the 25th and left another voicemail but still did not recieve a call back. I would think that a professional would atleast call a potential customer back, even if they can not come out right away.

Erik was very polite and took measurements of the bathroom. He didn't really discuss what I wanted with the bathroom much. He said he would look at a few options for tub/shower/vanity placement and email me an estimate in a few weeks. I never heard back from him. I called and left a message 7/24/2012 and didn't hear back. He never said the job was too big or that he didn't want to help so I don't understand. I am disappointed because my other estimate was from Chris at Coastal CSP who I also found on Angies List and he never responded with any estimate, email or anything. So my bathroom is still ugly!
Description of Work: I found Erik @ Titan Contracting on Angies list. He came out to give me an estimate on redoing my master bathroom. I wanted to have a dual vanity, tile floor, a larger shower, a rectangular tube instead of a garden one and a new fan installed. In addition, I wanted to have new trim installed around my garage and patio door to replace the rotten wood trim.

I completed 3 options/drawings for you just after our meeting and attempted to send them. Unfortunately, I must have misheard or mis-written your email address because the attempt to your .edu email bounced back. We receive tons of phone calls a day as well, so I don't have a number for you either. If you haven't selected another contractor, I would be happy to close the loop with you and help you select an option or move forward with making your bathroom beautiful. Please call me or email titancontracting@gmail.com so that I have the correct contact info. I apologize for the error.
I called several contractors on March 5, Erik was the only one to return my call. The same week he came to my home and inspected the area where I wanted the wet bar installed. He promised a complete estimate the same day and indeed, that's what I got. He emailed me the estimate and called to confirm I received the email and ask if I had questions. The price quoted was the price I paid. There were no surprise expenses or excuses why the price would change. The price quoted was substantially less than what was quoted by a Lowe's contractor. I purchased the cabinets, sink, faucet and countertops from Lowe's. Erik picked up the materials and was at my home at the time he said he would be. Erik was quiet, aside from machinery, he was dilligent and he got it all done in a day. He installed the wet bar and it looks GREAT. Aside from the new wet bar, there was no evidence he was at my home. Unlike the floor install guys, he left no mess behind. No saw dust, no paper-- nothing. I had not purchased the refrigerator, so he left a slot for the refrigerator. He cut the carpet in that slot also and put it back so you could not tell it had been cut. Two weeks prior to Erik installing my wet bar, another general contracting company came out to install hardwood floors in my home. A week later the floors are still not completed. He is now the first person I call when I need a general contractor.
Description of Work: I had a wet bar installed in a place where there was not plumbing on the first floor of my 3-story town home. The 1st floor serves as a recreation area for my teenage children and their friends. Erik cut the drywall and connected pipes to an existing line in an adjoining bathroom. (the everyday person's version) He cut the carpet down to the subfloors, installed the cabinet, countertop, sink and faucet. Additionally he brought the existing wall outlet forward and into the bottom cabinet so I did not lose a socket. He put a hole through the bottom cabinets so the refrigerator could be plugged in without the cord being visible. Then he somehow put the carpet so that you'd think the carpet was laid after the cabinet install.

The work was really top notch. We just closed the job out last week. I would highly recommend them to anybody. He was very prompt and professional. He was never late or added any additional expense. I was never surprised by price. He is very trustworthy. He is great. After an incident that occurred with my neighbors that was unexpected, and I let the owner know I was very upset by this action, he deducted a $300.00 amount from my last bill, and I think that is highly mentionable and professional.
Description of Work: They performed a major renovation for me recently. They refinished the wood floors in my house, they put ceramic tile in my kitchen, installed new cabinets work in my house, he was the lead contractor for interior and exterior painting of the house, he installed the major appliances in the house, and he also installed granite countertops and a new sink.

Very professional and excellent, quality workmanship.
Description of Work: We had water damage to our laundry room, which is an addition to the house. The water had leaked in and damaged the wall and also saturated and damaged the framing. Eric replaced the framing, installed new drywall, and sealed all around the outside framing and flashing.
They did a nice work, but they weren’t very professional. They banged on my door at 7 A.M., used my cooking appliance without asking me, telling me what I should and shouldn’t be doing after the bath. I left the bathroom shut off and the guy didn’t tell me to have it left on. Instead of saying that they left it on for a reason because of such and such reason, they said they left the bathroom on for a reason and asked me why did I turned it off. It is extremely unprofessional. They put my toilet in the front yard for three months instead of putting it on my patio. They left the things all over my front yard. It was a pretty much miserable experience. I was planning to use them to work in my kitchen, but I sent them out of my house. They painted my living room with the wrong color and tried to charge me to fix it. This was really unprofessional. I have an entire list of everything that they did, which was extremely unprofessional. Neither of the guys who came out was more than 30 years old. They don't have a good people skill. There were days when they came earlier than the actual time.

Response from Titan Contracting LLC
This work was completed over a year ago and twice since then Titan Contracting has responded to calls and emails and visited her home to help her out with construction issues not related to the work we completed. As far as Titan was aware, the member and her husband were very pleased. Prior to closing out this remodeling project for the member, the owner of Titan Contracting met with the member to go over the list of her concerns. Titan openly communicated with her throughout the remodeling project and responded to her very lengthy emails and requests. Upon meeting with her, she allowed us to help her understand aspects of the construction that worried her, to include promising her that our remodeling team would not use her refrigerator to store water or Gatorade for their day. The member, seemed pleased with the outcome of the meeting and thanked us – even a send off with cookies. To avoid placing blame, Titan will not elaborate on all of the discussions or why there were hiccups along the way. We will just state that EVERY attempt was made to satisfy the member, even covering the costs of several things that we shouldn’t have. We feel that we went above and beyond and refused to argue or quibble about things. It should be noted also that the member shares mutual friends with the owners of Titan Contracting – several months after completion of the project, the member attended a party in the condominium of the owners and hugged and thanked them, stating that she had an opportunity to “show off” her remodel. To be honest, this year later review is shocking… not to mention inaccurate. As part of this remodeling project, we gutted and remodeled her upstairs bath. In the process of installing new drywall and during the tile install we politely asked that she leave the exhaust fan on because of the high humidity level in her home – leaving on the exhaust fan would prevent delayed drying and inadvertent damage (we explained). The member agreed, but turned off the fan anyway. When we asked if there was a problem with the fan and why it was turned off, she told us she had no idea what we were referring to and that we had never asked her to leave on the fan after a bath/shower. --7am was the start time established with both wife and husband. If banging on the door occurred, it was because they were currently living in the basement and often didn’t come to the door when we arrived. Titan Contracting strives for professionalism and would only knock loudly in an attempt to notify them that we had arrived. Our team often waited outside for an answer, and didn’t complain. On several occasions, our foreman waited in his vehicle for over 30 mins for the member to wake up, despite agreed upon start time. Titan employees are punctual and courteous, the member was not. --Titan Contracting asks before we do anything and informs customers on what was done and why it was done. We put the homeowners toilet exactly where they told us to put it, “in the front yard behind the storage container in the driveway.” If they had asked us to put it anywhere else or move it – we most certainly would have. --The living room was painted the color she gave us to use, we asked her by email (even confirming color by text message while at Home Depot for pick up!) for color name and number. The next day, after the paint job was complete, she realized she told us the wrong information and wanted it changed – Titan agreed to make the wall any color she wanted… and ultimately, to make her happy, we covered the costs for the new paint and color. Again, bending over backwards to ensure she didn’t get upset. Her husband was friendly and encouraging of our work throughout the process – so it always came as a surprise when we arrived to find her upset about something new. Her husband also apologized on her behalf several times. As for her comment about considering us to remodel her kitchen – Titan Contracting would have politely declined. Reoccurring theme was that she didn’t remember discussions or decisions made, she left Post-It note changes all over the walls which were very confusing and then would only communicate when she was mad. We agree this was a difficult effort, but for all involved. We worked very hard to offer new solutions and even met with her after hours to write things down and discuss. I don’t feel that her comment about the age of the contractors is relevant – the owner of the company is in his 30’s and is an extremely skilled Class A General Contractor. His Foreman has 10+ years in the business and the electrician and plumber on staff are middle-aged professionals. Not relevant. Titan Contracting strives for quality craftsmanship and 100% customer satisfaction. These efforts have earned us many awards and return customers. We are extremely disappointed that we couldn’t make the member happy. For potential customers reading this review, please trust that we made every attempt. The memberbathroom looks great and we are very sorry that the issues she mentioned caused her worry.
Great quote, nice personality, nonexistent follow up. I requested a quote on July 11th and the owner, Erik Quam came out on July 19th. I received the quote on July 31st and we went back and forth on the quote until August 2nd to revise the quote. I signed the contract on August 24th and sent in the required $5,000 deposit for scheduling the work. The check was cashed on September 7th. I emailed September 8th as a check-in and received no response. I emailed again on September 17th and was told to expect a start date towards the end of September. As of October 12th, Titan has not had any further communication with me. I will be seeking out the deposit and canceling the contract as possible.
Description of Work: Received quote on number of services to b performed up to $28k: Remove load bearing wall, install three ceiling fans, roof repair, gutter retrofit; tiling- kitchen, bathroom, fireplace; etc.

Response from Titan Contracting LLC
As I told the Member, we had a few jobs ahead of hers and some in progress. She also new I was in the process of moving and moved August 26th hence the so called lack of communication. She seemed fine with waiting in line to have her projected started. Her deposit will be refunded asap.
