Great. Timely and fast. Only complaint was that the packers didn't identify the box contents very well for the out of state move. Everything lease was fine and reasonably priced. All of the movers and packers were pleasant, professional, and helpful. Will definitely consider Seaford for my next move

They were not timely and did not come at their set time, this was the first time. They had to come back because they could not finish the estimate the first time and they were over an hour late. They did stay and finish the wall through and told us they would give us the quote that night. We never heard anything from them that night and still have not heard anything from them. I called the next day to make sure they had all my contact information correct and they did, but they still have not contacted me.

They did a great job: showed up right on time (a crew of three), packed all of our furniture onto their truck efficiently, and had everything unloaded at the new place in under three hours. No complaints, and would definitely use them again.

A very good experience, the work crew was prompt, efficient and professional. We kept them on for more than the 3 hour minimum and were very happy with the work and the price.

The only mystery to me is why they wasted their estimators time and my time with a complete walkthrough of my house. I don't think its too much to ask that you contact a customer in 3 days if you say you'll contact them in 3 days. Waiting 3 weeks is crazy, especially when it's clearly too late for the customer to schedule a move. I got the impression they didn't have the trucks for it because its a busy part of the moving season. I would have completely understood this, all they had to do was contact me and tell me. Three weeks of silence is unacceptable.

I know that next time I move I will call Seaford first. Mr. Anderson came to my home, was courteous and thorough in explaining the details of an estimate, and asked good questions besides patiently answering my own. Over several intensive days of negotiating estimate costs and whether to have all my goods packed by Seaford or do it myself, they negotiated in good faith and worked with me to get the best price for my budget. Based on this interaction, I would not hesitate to hire them in the future. In particular, the extraordinary quality of Mr. Anderson's service was very persuasive, and I was impressed at every turn by his, and Seaford's, professionalism and responsiveness.

When I called to complain after the move they told me I should have called at the time of the move. However, I was alone with a small child and was unable to call at that time. Also, they did not put together all of the furniture properly. When I asked them to do it a certain so they wouldn't break the furniture, he continued to do it the way he wanted. The took an entire day to move my 1600 square foot townhouse with 1 care garage 15 miles. They did not take any care with my furniture and did not do anything I asked when I wanted them to take care with my heavier items. Then at the end of the move there was about 3 things they said would not fit on the truck! One was a floor lamp, that takes up very little space. What kind of movers refuse to move the last 3 things in a house? Ridiculous.

The move went smoothly, but they could not move me on the day I closed. I had to wait 6 days before they had enough drivers to move me.

Did an excellent job in moving us. We were scheduled to move on Monday but a hurricane was coming through our area that weekend. they called and had to cancel and were very accomdating to being able to move me the next day since that was my last day off. Did the job quickly and proficiently. Office staff, workers, everybody was very helpful. Would definitely use them again if ever needed.

I called and received an estimate about a month in advanced. After filling out an inventory of the house, I was told it would take about 15 man hour to move me from one house to the other (including taking down beds and setting them back up). After speaking with them it would be $45 a man hour and that I would be paying $90 an hour. I had received other quotes that were not time based but they were higher than I wanted to pay. I was told at $90 an hour and having them just drop off everything in the garage instead of setting it up would take about 3-5 hours. I also needed someone to be there between 730am and 830am because I was on a time crunch. I did not hire two other companies with lower quotes because they could not come till 9 or 10. I received a call the day before saying there was going to be a staff meeting that Wed morning and that the crew wouldn't be out till after 9am and there was nothing they could do about it but try to get them out faster. I stressed how important it was for me to get out of my current residents in time (like I had stressed it a month before). I loaded an empty 15 passenger van and a mini van to help save some time the next day. A 3 man crew showed up at 9am. I did not think anything of it because I had spoken to the associate about the $90 an hour. Everything was going well for the first hour. Then the breaks started. There seemed to always be one crew member not working or using my bathrooms (without asking). The house was starting to smell like cigarette smoke when I walked through but I thought maybe someone was smoking outside. They were very vulgar when speaking to one another and cursed just about every other word at times. Not hiding it from my father and myself at all. They made a slide out of flattened boxes to get my stuff from the second floor down the stairs. I asked not to slid my fragile boxes so they decided to throw them down the stairs instead. They did not pay any attention to boxes that said GLASS or FRAGILE. The slide also scratched up my baseboards. One of the crew was getting thirsty (I had nothing to offer because it was a move out). So they wanted to take the truck that was 3/4 full to the new house and hoped to stop somewhere in between to get a soda. I told them there was nothing because my house was a mile away. They stopped and packed up (time I have to pay for) and we drove over to the other house. They were smoking in my drive way then put the cigarette in his pocket (when I was present). They were so loud unloading the truck and cursing all the time. I made a comment about not putting the boxes in a particular area and the other guy said she didn't want them to pull out so far and the other crew member said he always pulls out. It was crude and disrespectful comments about women they know and other friends the entire time. My new neighbors were sure to hear them. Before the truck was empty we needed to get back because I had to be out. We were already past my deadline. They reluctantly went back to finish packing the truck. They took their time though. They finishing unloading the house and wanted to go to lunch. It was now 1:45. I even gave them $20 for lunch thinking it would motivate them to get my stuff done. 2:48pm they get back to the new place to finish unloading. The cursing continued. They got my floors inside the house wet and muddy. I kept asking them to hurry. Then I lost it when the last hour one guy kept stopping (sometimes 2) to fold the blankets up as slow as he could and talk about every basketball player they did not like. When I told them to hurry up and finish because I needed them gone they got offended and still took as long as they could. They finished at 3:40. Went to pay and I was being charged for 6 hours and 45 minutes. He told me they did not take an hour lunch. The time should have been 5 hours and 45 minutes and he would only go down to 6 hours. I was also told it was $135 an hour when it was suppose to be $90. I called into the company. It was 45 a man hour and they sent 3 guys. So I owed $825. If I was quoted it only taking 5 hours with 2 guys loading in my garage why would it take 3 guys 6 hours. They played around the entire time and took as much time as they could because they didn't want to do the military move they had later that day. I wrote the check to get them out of my house. It was only my husband and I and our two 7 month olds living there. We had one bed and two cribs to take apart and a washer and dryer, a sofa and 3 dressers. Why did it take 3 guys 6 hours to move us out and put the stuff in the garage. I moved all the baby items myself out. I was way over charged. For $75 more I could have had unlimited time and full set up with another company. I would never recommend them. Especially this young vulgar crew. My hands were tied and I could not fire them on the spot because I needed to be out. I have cigarette butts in my yard, scratched and cracked furniture, and the memory of my worst move ever. (I have moved 6 times in the past 7 years). What makes it worse is that I called to complain on Wednesday. I was told I could only speak to one person. It it now the following week and they have yet to call me back. I have called 3 times and told there is no one in authority I can talk to because they are a "small company". A small company should care more about their customers. *** Since writing this review the company contacted me and apologized. I was given a refund of some of the time. ***

We had a lot of furniture, boxes, and equipment to move. The move went very well. No incidents of damaged items. They were very careful in the moving of each and every item. It was as if they were moving their own possessions. We had 3 moving specialists and all were courteous and professional at all times on each day. This is the third time Seaford Transfer has moved us and we have NEVER been disappointed.

They came out and looked at the house, told us what their service would entail, and what they expected from me, how much the boxes cost and anything else that I would need to would know. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They put everything in our new house and were very neat and clean. I found them to be very accommodating.

They moved me from an apartment to a house. They did the job in less time and the estimate was less. They were quick and good.

They packed and moved us in just one day. They were very accommodating and careful with our stuff. They came back later and picked up the boxes. We have had a lot of moves and this was superior.

This turned out to be one of the best moves I have ever had. They had enough vehicles and personnel to do the entire job in one day. The movers were polite, and extra careful to avoid damaging anything. Extra padding was used, and nothing was left behind. They also helped me arrange the large items in my new house. It was a very organized move, they did a great job.
