Brian from Powerhouse did a great job communicating with us and our tenant regarding work to be done. I really appreciated the effort of keeping us both in the loop since my husband and I live out of state but want to keep up on our rental property. The work was done in a timely manner regardless of tentant schedule challengescas well as weather challenges. Front officecwas also helpful and professional.

We used them for house washing to get the dust and algae and stuff off the house, and they did a fine job. They were pricy but they did a fine job. They did a quality job.

Work was excellent; however, after looking around I saw other "A" rated companies that had lower prices ($20-$25) without discounts. Next time, I will investigate further and try those companies and see if the difference in price was worth it.

Price was outrageously high. I was in a hurry and they were first available so went against my better judgement, but the interior painting alone was ~$6,700 for a 1500sqft home. They didn't properly prep as promised (remove/fill nail holes). They painted over nails and electrical outlets. They missed multiple spots that required them to come back more than once, they forgot to paint the bathroom, but they had no problem sending me an invoice without their foreman inspecting the work upon "completion". I still find bleed through and missed spots. I get the distinct impression they are nothing more than middlemen subcontracting out work and inflating the price to take some off the top. They were just a power washing company a couple years ago. They're terrible. Avoid at all costs.

They did an exceptional job. I would definitely hire them again.

The workers were on time and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. The trim looks great and the chandelier is beautiful. The workers helped move the furniture back after completing the painting. Brian and his crew will be performing a number of projects for us in the near future.

I was very impressed with the company. They were very professional in making the bid and gave a very detailed quote on what and how they would do the work.

They did the exterior of the house. They arrived late. They were not able to do the roof. They promised to come back. They did not. They said the machine they use for the roof was broken and had to wait on parts to arrive. They have not returned and it is now January. And I have paid him for both the house and the roof.

Job performance exceeded expectations. Cleaning went beyond what I had expect and driveway and surrounding areas were scrubbed clean and completely cleaned up following work. I would definitely use these services again.

(Note: Biggest factor driving my overall rating of "C" was price. I'll explain below.) Power House quickly responded to my email request for an estimate. I coordinated with Dan to come to the house to do an estimate, and Dan showed on time. We did a walk around to discuss the painting I wanted done. Dan was helpful, polite, professional, and provided a written proposal within 24 hours. The price on the proposal was $3,955. My gut told me this was high, but I bit the bullet and accepted it mainly because I wanted the work done as soon as possible; Power House did a decent power wash job on the house last winter; and Dan's professionalism and timely communications gave me confidence in the company. Work was scheduled for a couple of weeks after I accepted the proposal, and was completed in about 4 days with one painter (Charles) on some days, and Charles had an assistant on one or maybe two of the days. Charles was polite and conscientious. His supervisor (Kevin) worked with me and Charles to find a good match for the back doors, and I appreciated Kevin's and Charles' responsiveness and diligence toward finding the match. Negative: I came to the house toward the end of the first day of painting to find Charles wearing headphones while on his ladder, with rubber sandals and socks which he wore throughout the job. This was unsafe, and unprofessional. (I expect painters to at least where closed toe shoes/boots). Also, Charles' assistant was having a cigarette on my front porch, talking on his cell phone! I understand taking a break, but don't think it's OK to light up on my front porch. (Fortunately I did not find any cigarette butts laying around). In summary, the quality of the job was good. But the price was unreasonable. Company did a power wash first. Then 1 or 2 painters, four x 6 hour days, two ladders, 4-5 cans of paint at $1000 a day? C'mon man! Fair price would have been in the $2000-$2500 range. I feel like I was taken advantage of. Regardless, after beating myself up a bit, I paid the invoice, and decided to use Angie's List to take out my frustration. My own fault for not shopping around. I will not use Power House again, or recommend them to others.

Brian Martin is very polite and responsive for scheduling and payment. Charles and his colleague did a great job on our home. They paid attention to detail and took care not to damage our siding. They did not rush and thoroughly cleaned all of our covered porches as well. Our house looks great now. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Wow! That's the word that describes Brian Martin of Power House Painting and his crew that did this project! We first used Power House to do the spray washing on our house--every year for the last 3 or 4 years. Due to the height of our house we needed professional assistance--and they were super. When I heard that Brian had expanded his business to include interior repairs and painting I called him for an estimate. He came by within 2 days and we discussed what we would like them to do--we received the estimate within 2 days again. They started the following week--a Monday through Friday job. As our ceilings are 18 feet in the living room and foyer, this was a tough job to do with the dry wall tape and painting at the top. Brian's crew was spectacular--they arrived promptly each day, worked consistently each day, and our house was as clean each day at the end of the day as it was in the morning. They were so friendly, professional, and it was clear their goal was to do a fantastic project. They even kept an eye on our pet when the weather turned bad. We've had interior contracting before, and we have to say this is the first time that I could not find anything to build what is called a punch list. Of course there were a few things that always need touch up, however literally those were done in minutes. I want to thank Brian for the continued professionalism, support, and quality of the jobs his company has done for us. Special shout out to Leroy, Kevin, and Cathy for the hard, tough work, and the absolutely 100%, flawless workmanship--your pride in what you do shows!!!

He arrived much earlier than expected but it was not a problem. He wet down my plantings next to the house to avoid excessive detergent harming the plants. He did an excellent job. He put back in place everything he had to move. It took about 1-1/2 hours to complete. He did an excellent job. I have had my home cleaned numerous times and I have to honestly say that he did the best job out of all of them. I will be calling Power House Painting again next fall. Thank you Angie's List.

They turned our unfinished garage into a showplace! Their attention to detail and perfectionist approach ensured quality work. They worked through cold weather and wouldn't call the job done until it met their standards and surpassed ours.

The Team were professional and helpful. They were prompt in replying and addressing the problem. However, had to call them within two days as the Gutter cleaning was not done as per our satisfaction and the water flow was still there after the entire cleaning. On Second attempt the problem was resolved and we are now satisfied. Considering the amount charged and the services, I found them a little expensive. Otherwise the team dealing was fine.

All the work was done timely (for one delay, Brian advised me immediately and kept me up to date), the work was done thoroughly and well. I thought the handyman work, which Brian sub'ed out to someone else, was a bit overpriced, but the work was still done well and quickly. Brian's price for the power washing and gutter cleaning was competitive for the area and fair. Brian responded quickly to all my questions and provided good, quick answers. I will use Brian again when I have jobs to be done.

I had requested a quote from a few different vendors, but Power House Painting's quote was the lowest and they were also the most responsive. The employee that performed the service arrived early for the appointment and did a terrific job. I appreciated the fact that Brian kept in touch with me, via email, from the time I first reached out to him until service was completed.
