Contractor inadvertently injected cement into an under-ground 'French' drain line, blocking the drain and requiring an additional $1,000 to replace the line. The drain line removed water from the roof to a drain opening at the property line, the drain itself is located about 3 feet from the sidewalk areas raised. Given the proximity of the drain and direction of the land swale, I believe an experienced craftsman should have known of the potential his injection technique would have for causing a drain line problem. The contractor subsequently rejected any responsibility for his action and ultimately behaved in a rude manner when trying to resolve this problem. The sidewalk he corrected subsequently resettled to its original position, negating any value from Hydracrete and a total cost to me of more than $2000 in order to put the sidewalk and drain back into the manner prior to Hydracrete's arrival. Accordingly, I do not recommend Hydracrete Services Inc.
