Buds Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

Horrible to deal with and even worse service. We spent 15k with Buds getting our system replaced and it hasn't worked right since day one. The owner Kevin Medler is a crook that refuses to stand behind their work. We are now forced to take legal action. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this awful company.

I’ve come to update my review from 4 days ago and as you can see from my stars, total opposite experience. One of the owners, Chandler reached out about my previous experience and apologized on behalf of everyone I dealt with. He refunded my $89 and offered to have a tech come out to put my new thermostat free of charge. Jack and Matt came out during the designated window. The first thing Jack said was “I read the review, you don’t need to explain” 🤣 They actually found out that a cord was broken somehow, which is why my AC unit was not getting power. So it was not my thermostat, as the previous tech had stated. I went ahead and had them install the new thermostat since I had it there already. They did everything free of charge. They also cleaned up after themselves. They accidentally took my old thermostat with them, but that’s in the process of being brought back. They got my AC working again and my new thermostat hooked up properly. I’m impressed with the action Chandler took and how the situation was dealt with. They were 100% opposite of what I previously dealt with and these guys are the reason I will continue using Buds and will suggest using Buds to my friends and family. Thanks for everything!

A lot more thorough than other company. Very knowledgeable. They don't try to sell you things that you don't need. The best contractor I've ever hired.

They have been awesome and are very reliable. They are always on time, follow the Covid protocol, and are wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend them.

They are responsive and professional. The people I've come to work with have been pleasant, personable people, so they've been good to work with. The workers were excellent. They communicated well. They told me what needed to be done. They were very clean and helpful.

I would use them again. They gave us the best value and cost estimate for replacing our entire heating and air system a few years ago. They have been very responsive to any issues we have had while we have been under service contract with them.

I’m on their Smart Care Plan, they come twice a year to do the maintenance. You pay for one and the next one is free. I like that they are prompt, they’re reliable, courteous.

On April 20, 2017 Bud's Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning replaced my heating and air conditioning systems. Prior to installing the systems, Mr. Steve Morewitz, Comfort Advisor, satisfactorily answered the many questions I asked about their proposed systems and their company. His responses were timely and he did not rush me to make a decision – other companies did not respond quickly so I waited for some of them to respond to have competitive quotes. The day before the installation I had a question about the dehumidifier he and I had agreed to before I signed the contract. His explanation on how that humidifier worked made me realize that was not the humidifier I wanted. He agreed to make the change without modifying the contract even though the cost would have increased. Their technicians were professional, friendly, helpful, and did a wonderful job removing and installing the equipment. It has been four months since they installed the systems and I have only called Mr. Morewitz once and that was to correct a door on the filter housing, which was a design/manufacturing problem with the filter manufacturer's equipment.

They're very prompt.? They come and they do their work and they're thorough and they leave.? They don't dilly-dally.? They just come and do their work.

There is nothing that sticks out that's especially different.? They're pretty consistent.? They leave everything perfectly clean.? It usually takes 20 mins.? It's for maintenance.

The primary reason I keep using them is I like to keep my systems maintained so that there in good working condition where the seasons start.

We're on a maintenance plan so I don't know how much yearly cost is? that.? This was one that was part of that yearly plan.? I give them A's for everything.? I've been with them for 32 years.? I'm very pleased with them.? They put in a new system for us and they're always prompt.? I'm pleased with the work? They come out twice a year in May and September.

They were very pleasant to work with, but we went with someone else for replacement due to price.

Chris was punctual and professional, and very pleasant with my little boys, who were fascinated by his tools and what he was doing. We ended up having to replace a capacitor and the external blower, but he completed his evaluation and repairs quickly.

I have been using them since 2008. They are very professional and very helpful. They have been able to respond to all of our needs. They have good recommendations, each time they've come out if they find an issue they recommend something and we talk through it and are able to come up with a resolution.

It went really well. It took about a day. They were excellent about explaining everything. They gave me a lot of different options.

If you want to stay competitive with other companies I would think they would want to mention their Angie's List discounts. They did not mention or give me a discount. One of the workers broke my light switch and so I did not have any power in my bedrooms and hallway. I called them to resolve it and they partially fixed it. The next day they sent a certified electrician to finish it. They did not do a final assessment and test to make sure everything was working. The unit is working but they did not check the lighting.

We have always had really good service with them. We had him come out and service our furnace or air conditioner one time. They did a good job and give a military or senior citizen discount. They are always very nice and thorough. They did a really good job when they cleaned the furnace or air conditioner. I would highly recommend them. They are coming tomorrow to service the air conditioner. The air conditioner is usually serviced before that but they called to see if I could postpone it a little bit because during that really hot spell we had they had a number of calls. It was fine with me because I know that our air conditioner works because they do a good job servicing it. I pay it both together and it might be around $150. For the service for the furnace it was $72. I think it was $178 and that includes the servicing of the air conditioning in the spring and the furnace in the fall and that's with the senior citizen or military discount. I think their price is very reasonable and comparable to others in the area. They always call before they come or they call if they are running a few minutes late because it took a bit longer if they had to replace something at somebody else's place.

From start to finish could not have gone better. Everything about them was first class. Very pleased with them and my new lennox system.

The experience was excellent. I called them this morning but don't have to use them. I found out I don't have any water and there is a water main break right down by the pool in my neighborhood and the county is working on that right now. I have them under contract and they come and check my heating and air conditioning. I have a geothermal system. I have regular maintenance from them. I paid for the contract for a year. They come and check to make sure that everything in the garage where the furnace is is working per properly. They check the hot water and check all the different parts of the geothermal system. I can't compare their price because I am not familiar with any of the other ones in the area. They call when they are coming.

Their courtesy, professionalism, and trustworthiness are unsurpassed by anyone we have hired. They do a great job.
