'58 Foundations & Waterproofing

This was after Gaston, way back in what? '04? so my information is very old - but they were excellent. This happened 6 months after I'd moved to Richmond and bought my house. As I remember, I had one small problem crop up after the initial installation, and they came out and fixed it a.s.a.p. The cellar has been dry ever since, sump pump working, etc. Not a hitch. I had a lot of other expenses (new furnace, floor, washer, dryer, etc.) so I spent a lot more than the $7000 - it hurt, but it was worth it.

Work quality was excellent and the basement is dry. They arrived as scheduled. Their follow-up for small problems was not satisfactory. They are expensive but their system works.

Since the B-Dry system was installed we have had no further instances of water infiltration into our home.

I was impressed at the massive undertaking and the best part IT WORKS!!!I had a different company at first and even though I paid several thousand dollars they were not successful. I am very happy with B-Dry.

This time I asked for a professional inspection and advice on new work to be done on my home recommended by two other professional foundation companies. They came and did a thorough workup and explained the whole process not only of what was happening as far as the structure, but what the real remedy should be. This company has no financial incentive to respond-but our past client relationship with them. They directed me to a solution and saved me thousands of dollars by doing so. I TRUST THEM and have been completely satisfied with the work they have done for my home and their willingness to consult and advise on matters of concern to me. They have invested their time and expert advice without charge because they truly do have customer satisfaction as a business practice.

They waterproofed my crawlspace. They arrived late the morning they started the work, not a problem with me since it was an all day job. there was a misunderstanding about what work was to be done, so we had to contact salesperson and he came by our home to discuss. I ended up having to pay an additional $700 to get the complete job. they also were unable to get the sump pump plugged in to my outlet, so I will have to get electrician to come and add another electrical plug in. I am pleased with the work that they did, but the jury is still out account I have not needed the sump pump due to the fact we have not had any water leaks. So, if I can be critical about anything, I would say they oversold there product, meaning Im not sure I needed what I bought. Time will tell?

After interviewing many, many contractors, I decided to use them. They were the highest priced, BUT they were the most professional in the presentation and had the best product on the market. I was impressed with the quality of the plastic sheeting and the gutter to be installed in the French Drain. It has functioned perfectly for the past 15 years

We are planning of using them to do more work in our basement.

It took a little over a month from my first call until my appointment to have a quote done but only 3 days later they called to set date for work which was just 4 more days (1 week from day of quote). Was told would take two days. They worked 11 hours the 1st day and 8 hours the next. The workers were exactly on time and finished when the foreman said they would on the 2nd day. I rated N/a on price because I didn't have another estimate. I also rated n/a on quality because it hasn't rained since they left so I don't know if it is successful. They left things cleaner than it was when they got here. No debris. They were very careful, taping off the vents downstairs so dust wouldn't come upstairs. They carefully taped off all the furniture (had to put everything 5 feet from the walls and it was stacked high but they got it covered). They also taped thick plastic over the carpet on the stairs to protect it and hung a plastic curtain at the bottom of the stairs. Just one comment about something I wished they would have been more careful of--it was very cold outside and sometimes they would leave the door standing wide open when they went out. I understand if they were coming right back in but there were times when they were outside a long time with the door open. Also on closer inspection after they left I noticed that in one room the outlets were still attached but in another room they are dangling from the wall...I wonder the difference. Also there is a wire in the bathroom that is dangling...again I wonder what it goes to and if it's dangerous. If I had a choice I'd have graded them a A- but that wasn't a choice. All in all at this point I'm very pleased.

They were very efficient. Their work was very well done, and they left our basement clean. Oh, and it's been three years and the basement is completely dry.

From start to finish a positive experience. I was a bit stressed by the seepage in my finished basement and felt from the first that the B-dry representative understood the problem. He explained the system , but never tried to oversell me on a fix which had been the case with earlier companies. My confidence in him eas carried out to the end job. This was a job done in a carpeted room with furnishings and they covered and sealed off things so well that drilling into cement and plaster left no mess.Ten years later everything is bone dry and working well.I haven't called back because I have not needed to but would not hesitate if need arose.

MY BASEMENT WAS LIKE A RIVER EVERY TIME IT RAINED. I HAD AT LEAST 7 OR 8 CONTRACTORS COME OUT TO GIVE ME ESTIMATES. B-DRY SENT OUT THEIR FIELD GUY ON A SAT. MORNING. HE TOOK A LOOK AT MY BASEMENT, MEASURED IT, AND SAT DOWN WITH ME AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT THEY WOULD DO. HE SHOWED ME WHAT KIND OF MATERIALS THAT THEY WERE GOING TO USE AND SKETCHED OUT WHAT THEY WOULD BE DOING TO CORRECT MY PROBLEM. I SIGNED THE CONTRACT AND HIS GUYS CAME OUT ON MONDAY MORNING TO START THE WORK. THEY WERE A VERY HARD WORKING CREW. I DON'T THINK THEY EVEN STOPPED TO EAT LUNCH. I WOULD SEND THEM COLD DRINKS DOWN STAIRS. MY JOB WAS COMPLETED IN 2 TO 3 DAYS. THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. I WAS TOLD NOT TO PUT ANY FURNITURE OR ANYTHING DOWN THERE UNTIL AFTER IT RAINED A FEW TIMES. I SAW A SMALL PUDDLE OF WATER I CALLED THEM THEY CAME BACK AND PUT A DRAIN BOARD IN THE FRONT OF THE DOOR. I HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM SINCE. I HAVE THEM COME OUT ONCE A YEAR TO CHECK MY SYSTEM. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST AND DON'T TRY TO ROB YOU. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND B-DRY. IF YOU USE THEM FOR YOUR BASEMENT PROBLEM YOUR BASEMENT WILL BE DRY.

A great experience from the first phone call. All calls were returned promptly; appoints kept; budget was adhered to. B-dry's construction company, especially the foreman, was a pleasure to work with and did an outstanding job.

It was great. It was a good experience.

It turned out fine and it hasn’t leaked since. We got 3 estimates and they were in the middle, and that is why we chose them. They were prompt and able to get the job done quickly. We also had to have the boiler moved which involved extra costs. I was pleased with the work.

The service is great. Fred the estimator is very easy to work with. They show up as promised and we were very happy with them.

It turned out pretty well. They did everything they said they were going to do. Overtime now, I’m not sure if they maybe should’ve dug the trench further away from the basement. I have had a couple issues with the foundation settling, and not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. What they did, did dry the area out completely. Make sure that you’re clear on exactly what they are going to do, attentive to the details, and ask questions when needed. They also gave me a warranty on their work and I haven’t had any problems with it going bad. I would recommend them to others.

They have a lifetime warranty, and I had to call them back on one issue and they responded right away and took care of it. They are pretty reliable.

They are terrific and they are the best that we have ever used. One company we got an estimate from to repair the mortar between the bricks quoted us a price of $70000 because they told me it was a structural problem. I only needed a brick mason to repair the cracks, and it was less than $1000 to repair. I really trust them and have been using them for years. I have recommended them a number of times and they have proven themselves. They are very thorough and they take the time to explain everything to you so you understand. They also want you to verify their work when needed with a structural engineer.

They were very professional and did a very good job. The only issue I had was that afterwards I had a leak in my foundation and the location that it was leaking at, wasn’t covered by the warranty, and I had to fix the leak myself. I felt that they should’ve noticed this while doing the job. I would recommend them. They cleaned up after themselves and they did do a good job.

It went terrible, the man we were dealing with promised and didnt show. The installers were outstanding but the supervisor terrible.We had worked with them before and we would not reccomend them now
