My home warranty company sent someone from Praise Appliance to check out my dishwasher and front load washing machine. Praise Appliance showed up on Saturday morning as expected and on time. He checked out the 9 year old dishwasher and said the motor was bad and he would recommend to the warranty company to replace it. The washing machine was displaying an intermittent code F35 or F20, one for drain issues and one for suds, even when no detergent was used. He checked out the machine and found the drain pump casing was half filled with water and would need to order one. I called the technician two weeks later to check on the status and was told the part had not yet arrived. On November 29th I called the warranty company to have them check what was taking so long. They were unable to reach anyone from Praise Appliance and no one returned their call. They did tell me they gave Praise Appliance the authorization to order the parts and repair the washing machine. Nearly four weeks it much too long to be waiting for parts to fix a washing machine. On December 6th I called the home warranty company again. This time they reached Praise Appliance and were told they were still waiting on the part to arrive. I told the warranty company this was unacceptable since a part could be ordered over the internet and arrive in two days from several suppliers. The warranty company told me I could order the parts and have a different technician of my choosing to replace the part or do it myself and send them the receipts. I have no complaints with them, only the service provider they selected.
Description of Work: Called my warranty company when my washing machine began displaying error codes and my dishwasher stopped working. They sent out Praise Appliance from Woodbridge, VA. Once month later I am awaiting parts and still have a broken washing machine.

My home warranty service uses this company. The first appointment was made. A supposed technician came to my house to take a look at my washing machine, front loader. The technician said one of the shocks was bad and a motor that helped drain the washing machine was bad. That didn't sound quite right to me but I don't know much about a washer. I scheduled a second appointment to get the repairs done. The technician did not call or show up and I took off work to meet him. I called to complain and made another appointment. Still no show no call. I talked to a supervisor who asked me to let him try one more time. Again, no call no show. I decided to forfeit my $100 dollar deductible and use another person from Appliance Geek. The Appliance Geek came out and only charged my $50 dollars. Appliance Geek also said my drum was warped and the washer needed to be replace which sounded more in line with what I thought. The washer would jump all over the place while in the spin part of the cycle. Praise Appliance was awful. Appliance Geek was wonderful.
