The owner provided the service. He was delightful, timely, professional; provided dropcloths and kept the work area clean. In fact, he went out of his way to clean our gas fireplace even though it clearly had not been used in several years, and was not ever going to work again! explained why several things weren't working right; identified several problems with the initial installation over 20 years ago, pointed out several things that had been done right, too, discussed relative merits of repair versus replacement. When I told him I'd be happy to completely refit, I had complete confidence in taking his recommendation for a nearby referral partner who specialized in fireplaces and would be able to provide good service, advice, and value for me as I chose and had installed a replacement gas fireplace. I would recommend Wammoth to others, and would certainly use them again.

Thorough and professional job.

Bill did an amazing job cleaning, inspecting all the connections and safety features, and checking for gas leaks. The fire place was not installed very carefully. He reconnected some wires and noticed that the overheating safety element was not working and it was not even connected. He also arranged the ambers very carefully all around the fire place, since they were just put in a clump. This made the fireplace look so beautiful. I really was highly impressed by his attention to detail. I feel so much better knowing that my fireplace is safe. It looks so beautiful now. I am very grateful. Highly recommended.

Provider was very professional and helpful. Our gas fireplace is less than 2 years old and provider did a better job of explaining its functionality than the company who installed it. Our log placement was also incorrect which created black smoke on our glass. Provider took the time to research correct log placement and correct. I will definitely plan to schedule an annual check-up with Wammoth from here on out.

He took the time to show me how all the parts of the fireplace worked. He also fixed our wall outlet and repaired a small leak. The fireplace looks brand new again. Highly recommend.

Very happy with Wammoth. We are new homeowners; the gas fireplace didn't look as if it had ever been serviced or cleaned... the flames were barely visible through the dirty glass. Wammoth sent us a reminder ahead of time, showed up on time, and did an incredible job of cleaning and servicing and advising us how to maintain the fireplace in future. Very professional and knowledgeable. And it now looks as if we have a brand new fireplace!

Bill, the owner of the company, came at least 4 times to figure out what was wrong with our Jotul stove which was not lighting properly. He cleaned the stove thoroughly and then called the vendor to determine what the problem was. After installing a new thermocouple, he took a photo of the wires and again dealt with the vendor to determine the problem, which appeared to be an unconnected wire underneath the unit. We were pleased with his professionalism and the fact that he wanted to make it work despite some nagging problems! Now it is working perfectly.

Bill Watson of Wammoth Services provided excellent servicing of our gas fireplace. The full process from contacting the provider on Angies List getting an appointment to having the fireplace serviced could not have been easier. Many of the other companies that were contacted had very long lead times or much higher prices for the same service with mixed reviews. I prepaid for the service on Angie's List and had no issues getting the initial appointment set then moved to another date when I had a conflict with my original date. They were able to get me another appointment very quickly (2 weeks), again very different then some of the other companies that were scheduling dates 1-2 months in advance at much higher prices. Mr. Watson arrived during the appointment window (3:30-5:30) and made sure to call when he was leaving his previous appointment so I would know when to expect him to arrive. He had brought all of his tools for servicing the fireplace and was very pleasant/friendly when he rang my doorbell. He then proceeded to spend the next 60 min., carefully dismantling and cleaning the fireplace screen/glass/interior logs as well as carefully cleaning all around the interior. Nothing was rushed and he properly laid out a drop cloth to ensure dirt/dust was not spread around the fireplace or on my rugs/floor. Part of the inspection also involved testing for gas leaks with a gas leak sensor and he made sure to check all areas carefully. He made sure everything was re-installed and tested and even added small metallic "wool" balls that were previously not there to give the impression of burning embers when the fire was lit. The fireplace looked brand new by the time he was completed. Before finishing he explained the operation of fireplace to me along with instructions on how to restart the pilot if it ever went out to save me the trouble of having to call him if the pilot ever blew out due to a draft or heavy winds that somehow made their way into the fireplace from the outside vent. He also walked out side and did a quick visual inspection of the outside vent area to ensure it looked ok and the proper screen/protections were in place to ensure the exhaust could be vented and screened to keep birds/small animals from entering the vent area and causing a fire hazard. I would highly recommend this company for any other members looking for this service and would not hesitate to use Bill and Wammoth Services for any other services associated with my gas fireplace.

We were very pleased with this company. We get our gas fireplace serviced once a year but have difficulty finding a company that specializes in this service. Wammoth specializes in gas fireplaces so we are confident they know what they are doing. The service provided was thorough and complete. We will hire them again next year and recommend them to others.

Bill Watson, the owner/operator of Mammoth Services, arrived promptly and performed the safety inspection and cleaning of gas fireplace thoroughly and in a very professional manner. He explained everything and suggested ways to upgrade (such as installing a blower). The fireplace did not have any maintenance for many years but was operational and had no problems. I would recommend this provider to anyone needing this service.

Very Professional and reliable.

Overall it went very well. It was a bit expensive, but the technician spent about 3 hours working on the fireplace. The only reason I scored them low on responsiveness is it took 3 weeks to get the first appointment. Other than that it was a good experience.
