The "coupon" in the val-pack is the regular price. In the coupon it makes an obvious point about the van having 12 filter bags on top. I never saw anything but a regular van. The remove the return vents, but not the registers. The "honest price guarantee" includes "FREE 2 bathroom exhaust fans cleaned". We have one, and they didn't clean it. I seriously just went an looked as I was reviewing the val-pack insert, and the bathroom exhaust vent had lint/dust all over it. Other than shooting compressed air in the duct work and connecting a huge vacuum to the furnace, I don't know exactly what I paid for. The guy walked around with a little canister vac and sucked up dust while he shoot air on the vents. I could have done that. After that, I decided to decline the dryer vent cleaning.

I posted this on another review board but wanted to post it here too. Decided to purchase an Airduct cleaning since we have a kid on the way and I figured I would make sure everything vent wise was clean. I saw the coupon in the mail valu-pack which seemed like a good deal. It turns out that is their normal price (according to their website) so it wasn't even really a coupon but more of an advertisement. Scheduling the appointment was easy and they were able to fit me in very quickly. They arrived during the expected time and the employee doing the work (Nick) was very nice and friendly. He was at my TH for about 1 1/2 hrs. Now maybe I was expecting something different but there was a few issues that stood out to me: They state their truck has 12 filter bags on top, yet the truck that was parked outside my TH was just a standard van. (Their own website states) and quot;We not use carpet cleaning equipment to clean airducts. If their equipment does not have 12 filter bags on the top of the truck is is not an airduct truckand quot; Ok so did they bring the wrong truck? The next thing I noticed is they didn't actually clean inside the vents, it looks like they were just spraying air into them and having their gas powered vacuum suck up the debris (down near the furnace) Also Nick was walking around with a tiny portable wet/dry vac, I don't know what the point of that was, maybe to catch extra debris but seemed a bit odd and didn't look like it would have much power to do anything. Also their website says We accept cash, check, Visa and Mastercard. Yet they don't mention if you pay with a credit card there is an additional fee. Also they ask you make the check out to the owner which seems a bit shady. Lastly after checking the inside of one of the bathroom ducts, it was still caked in dust. Honestly I didn't see much difference between this duct cleaning job and when I bought one of those $40 specials (2 years ago).

Their price was very fair, competitive and reasonable. They were very efficient and did a nice job. They did not clean up as well as I thought they would. I went with them primarily because of their price and the equipment that they were using. Their punctuality wasn't quite as good but they did call.

Nick from Virginia's Finest called us to make sure we were there and let us know that he was on his way. He was very professional. He checked the ducts, cleaned everything out, left a detailed invoice, and made recommendations for the future. We have used this company many times. They are always punctual and professional.

The whole process was flawless from making the appointment to job completion. Fernando was very knowledgable and focused on he getting the job done. He kept me informed and went over the before and after inter workings of the job. I would highly recommend them. Job well done. Customer service done with a smile.

My daughter was coughing all night because of her allergies. I called Virginia-Z-Finest and scheduled an appointment to clean the Air duct. they showed up on time, the gentlemen was very professional and knew exactly what needs to be done. After he finished, he recommended a certain type of air filters for allergies. My daughter health has improved significantly ever since.

These guys did a great job. Very happy, they pointed out things that the other company I used 2 years ago clearly didn't do. These ares are worth every penny, ask for Fernando

The tech showed up almost an hour early without so much as a phone call. He looked at the furnace (three-level townhome, furnace in basement) and brought in a large hose which he inserted into a return duct after removing the cover. He agitated and used high-pressure air in the return ducts to loosen material and send it down to the vacuum. All good so far. Then he proceeds to take the high pressure air wand and spray air into the supply ducts, without moving the vacuum hose to the supply side and possibly sealing other ducts. He turned on the AC (presumably to keep material out of the blower motor), but each application of high-pressure air sent the contents of the ducts shooting out nearby ducts. The tech then proceeded to remove the filter from the ac/furnace and begin agitating in the air box beneath the unit. He then did minor cleanup, got my CC info, and left. Thinking about the what he had done, I removed the furnace covers and found the bottom of the 1-year old a/c coil caked with dust and debris. I called the company and spoke with a woman there who assured me the owner would contact me shortly. Instead the tech came back and when I showed him the coil he gently vacuumed it off as best as he could. It's been a week I have not heard anything else from the company. In addition to needing to clean debris from all over the house near the supply vents, I also found a recessed-light frame on the floor in the basement, dislodged from a light near one of the ceiling-mounted supply vents. It's not broken, but it would have been proper for them to let me know it had come apart during their service. From the FAQ on their website: Q: Does the cleaning make a mess? A: No, our cleaning process does not make a mess in your home. Why? First of all, we use strong truck mounted power vacuums to collect the debris we agitate. These trucks are actually strong enough to suck piles of bricks off the ground as compared to portable HEPA vacuums that will not suck up half inch screws from the floor. Second, we divide the system in half between supply and return to prevent dirt and debris from going through the furnace which protects your furnace. Third, our truck is located outside of your home where any possible malfunction will not affect you home as compared to a portable HEPA vacuum that if a seal or filter breaks, your home would be contaminated. Our truck-mounted equipment eliminates the possibility of equipment failures that could contaminate your home. So they didn't do the service as advertised on their website, left my home a mess, clogged my a/c coil, and didn't let me know about the light fixture. Stay away from this company!

The guy that did the work showed up 1 hour earlier without prior notice. Not big deal since there was someone in the house. Said it would take him 1.5 hour to finish the work so I calculated my time to be back by then. Finished before that time and wanted to leave. He had to wait for me to get there and be able to pay him. I asked him if he had performed everything that was on the list and he said yes. Asked him if he turnd AC on again and he said yes and I could hear the AC on. He left in a hurry.After 30 minutes, my house was getting hotter, not cooler (when he left it was 85F). First I thought it was just too hot outside, but after a while it was all the way to 89-90 and I got concerned. I stood up in one of the vents and no air was coming out!!!! So I decided to check my ducts and make sure they were open. He NEVER open my ducts after he had finished!!!! My AC was running and the air wasn't going anywhere!!!! It took many hours to get my house cool off again. When I called that evening to complain, the guy that answered the phone told me he would call the technician and called me back. After waiting 30 minutes, I called back and he told me he could not get a hold of the technician. He just told me, it is a hot day and it would take a while to cool off!!! The next day the technician called me and I explained to him what happened. he said: "are they open now?" I said yes, and he never apologize just said:"if you have any problems, call us back"!!!! I called the main office to complain and the girl that answered listened to me patiently, apologized and told me she would talk to her manager. Have not heard from them again.... After spending over $200, you would expect some professionalism and consideration... no, not from them.

I had just bought a house and was wheezing in the basement after 30 min of being in there every single time. I was worried about the airducts so i hired them. They came out and were so prompt that they were actually early! they got straight to work and explained things to me. They found mice and a lot of mold in the HVAC so i had them install a germicide UV lamp. The same night....i was able to breathe in my basement and have been wheeze free ever since. I will continue to bring them out every 2 years to replace the bulb in the HVAc system and clean the airducts.

They did a good job with my air ducts but they did not do a good job with my carpets. They were polite but the carpet cleaning was very rushed and my carpets took four days to dry after using a humidifier. When they came out they did not leave clean. When they did the duct cleaning, they did a good job of it but their truck kept breaking down. The price was good, you pay for what you get. They were very punctual.

The technician arrived on time and got straight to work. He performed pretty quickly. He put down rugs and mats to keep our floors clean. He used an air compressor to push dirt and dust from each air vent back towards the central unit where his heavy duty vacuum sucked it all out. The vacuum was outside in his truck so there was no great noise or mess in the house. He was very low-key and almost solemn, but that didn't bother me. He got the job done quickly and I'm quite satisfied.

I liked the completeness of the cleaning. They used a truck-mounted system. They showed my wife the before and after to demonstrate what had been done and what the difference was. What I didn't like was that they were unclear about their scheduling. When we scheduled, they gave a time window that I believed was their appointment time window when it was actually their arrival window. That wasn't made clear, so it led to some confusion. Other than that, I was satisfied with the service we received. I thought the pricing was very reasonable compared to other providers I had researched.

The technician arrived within his expected window and introduced himself. He first surveyed the home - the furnaces, the location of the vents, and then explained the process. He finished the process (2 systems, 3 floors) within about 1 - 1.5 hours as expected. He did not appear to damage anything with the long tubing/ hoses they use. There was very little mess - just scattered areas of dust and debris, particularly below vents on the ceiling. My only complaint - he told me my filters were lousy and which ones to use, but did not replace my old ones (or inform me that he was not going to). I went to put in the new filters a few days later and was surprised to find that there were NO filters in either system.

The young man arrived promptly after calling to ask whether it was okay to come a bit earlier. He introduced himself and explained the procedure. He tried to minimize the upset and disorder, loss of heat, etc., while the equipment kept the door open. I had a question about whether I'd need two filters as opposed to just one, and rather than trying to sell me something I might not need, he suggested that based on the state of the second intake, one would probably do me fine. After cleaning the dryer vent, he made a point of showing me how full it had been, and cautioned me about fire hazard. When he left, he cleaned up all debris resulting from the job. He was unfailingly polite from start to finish. The one thing he neglected to tell me was that the filter would be mailed later. When it arrived, I had trouble installing it, but the company promptly sent someone out to install it at no extra charge.

They showed up 30 minutes early and they didn't call us before hand. They didn't have any uniform on with companies logo or name. When they cleaned the vents they didn't cover our furniture so all of the dust and dirt fell onto the floor and furniture below the vents. They also used a sanitized liquid spray to clean the ducts and the dirty liquid dripped over onto my furniture and floor.

The technician arrived about 3 hours late, although he had called earlier to ask if the delay was acceptable. The technician started by cleaning and inspecting the furnace system for our lower level. He primarily used high pressure air to clean out the vents while using the vacuum to remove any debris from the main return duct. He cleaned our second story furnace system in a similar way. He was careful with the large vacuum hose that was used and did not appear to damage anything. This was the first time I had the air ducts cleaned so I cannot evaluate whether Virginia-Z does as much as other duct cleaning services. Their price was well below others and the service only required one technician to work for about two hours. I guess you get what you pay for!

Very please with this company. Showed up on time and explained the process prior to starting. Had the work done shortly after buying the duplex, and glad I did as he showed me how bad the air ducts were. I could tell a remarkable difference in the air quality after they had been cleaned.
