+ -1 moreThe service person showed up, we had discussed with the sales rep that our King size bed did not have to be moved and could be put on sliders, he said all the furniture had to be moved and he would not assist. Did not offer any alternatives, acted like he did not care. I would definitely not recommend this company, it was a waste of our time.

+ -1 moreThe job was not done. We had two lengthy conversations with the office explaining in great detail the situation and what needed to be done. We have done a number of home projects including flooring and laird out a proposed plan which the office indicated was doable. We also talked to Mike e who I believe was the owner and sent pictures.. We intoxicated that a large section where the pool table, couches and stereo was located was not damaged and would not be moved. We spent hours cleaning out the affected areas. At a minimum we wanted two separate rooms moved and thresholds put in. They were empathy. They did not send the two experts they promised and the crew said they could not handle any of it. They basically lied through the process and we are back to square one. They probably could handle placing an area rug.

+ -1 moreIt went well. There were some stains on the carpet that the cleaners could not get out. The patches improve the look of the carpet. You can see the outline of one of the patches but it is an improvement.

Description of Work: After a flooding issue in my basement, the carpet in one large room was completely ruined and had to be replaced. Carpet in the hallway and a guest bedroom was salvaged, but ServePro (they did the initial flooding clean-up) took up part of that carpet to remove the soaked padding underneath. Virginia Carpet Repair and Cleaning gave me an estimate to replace the padding, thoroughly clean and re-stretch/re-install the damaged carpet. They also gave me a separate estimate to install (either my own or purchased from them) carpet in the large room where all new carpet was needed. This allowed me to get competitive bids for the new installation in the large room. Their bid was comparable to the others. I used Virginia Carpet Repair and Cleaning for the repair as well as the new carpet installation in the large room. They did a VERY professional job. It's impossible to tell where the carpet was repaired. The cleaning was very thorough. They kept to the agreed timetable. I would use them again anytime!

+ 0 moreInitial Phone Call: I called William and he sounded positive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic to do a good job. We arranged a time for him to come out, which he did within just a day or two of the call. Service Call: William was totally on-time and ready to go. He assessed the situation, discovered he could do the repair and got it done within a half hour to forty-five minutes. It was excellent work. He stretched the warped carpet, tucked it under the baseboards and it looks and works great now. William was congenial and helpful, a really good, friendly and business-like guy you can trust.

+ 0 moreWilliam did all we could ask for! We had a couple of items to fix as a result of a home inspection before sale. Other companies would not do the work without replacing carpet or having a much larger job to do. And I was so happy that William was able to come over and complete the work within a week, which was perfect for us. William is very professional and polite. He listened to what we needed and inspected each area, letting us know what he would do to fix both issues. He moved a couple of pieces of furniture and moved them back into place when done. We hadn't done the work prior to now because we had been told by a cleaning company and also by a carpet sales company that the stretching of our wall to wall carpet in several places would be nearly the same as replacing it, which we now know is absolutely not true.
Description of Work: Installed basement tack strip and stretched carpet. Also took up carpet upstairs and nailed down squeaky floorboards and reinstalled carpet/padding.
