U-HAUL

It was awful and I implore anyone renting a truck not to use UHaul. I reserved a UBox with UHaul and they contract with Movinghelp.com. After I made my reservation a mover contracted by Movinghelp.com called me. A&E Movers. The issue began with UHaul imputing the wrong pick up place in their computer. The put in Springfield, VA instead of Woodbridge, VA. After the Movers arrived at the wrong address provided by UHaul, they went to Woodbridge, VA where because of the poor customer service, they had to wait an additional 2 plus hours to obtain the UBox. They were due at my apt. at 10:00 am. At 12:30 pm the movers called and stated they were outside my house. I replied I do not live in a house. They were given my wrong address by UHaul as well. The move did not being until atleast 1:30 pm. I was forced to miss work and it cost me a great deal of money due to the inadequacies of UHaul customer service. The next day I had asked the movers to return to finish the job. They sent one mover without a drivers license. I only include this because you need to know that UHaul had these movers call me. I did not choose these movers. I have been going back and forth with UHaul and Movinghelp.com since June 5, 2016. They have never even apologized for their incompetence. My furniture was damaged and to make matters worse the movers stated that I did not report that to them until after the fact which was not true either, as I had to give the movers the cost of the couch because she was going to make a claim to their insurance company. I would never want anyone to go through what I have gone through as moving is stressful enough as it is. The office on Telegraph Road attempted to help me after the fact however, although they had direct contact with Movinghelp.com the General Manager, Peggy would not give me the contact number after telling me several times she would. They too went back on their word. UHaul is a huge company, however they do not value their customers or they would have worked with me instead of passing the buck to everyone else and take zero responsibility for their mistakes. It went fine. I had no problems.

More expensive than the home improvement trucks which are $25 per hour. By time you pay the initial rental fee, the mileage rate, and the gas the truck will cost you at least $100 for a couple of hours of usage. On the other hand, good facility with good employees and the truck was in good shape.
