Both projects were done per the agreed to schedule and price quotes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Took photos of the chimey top and showed me so I didn't have to climb the roof. Description of Work: I used the Chimney Doctor to clean and inspect our fireplace and chimney. We ended up needing a new flue cover which they ordered and installed. We were very happy with the service, the professionalism and price. We will definitely continue to use them.

The gentleman that came out was very respectful, and explained to me not only what needed to be repaired, but why it was important to have these things fixed (safety and such). They were also willing to price match what I had received from another company. | |Work done: Removed and replaced linings for both chimney and furnace. Installed new damper, air intake vent, and caps. Repaired cement crown and mortar cracks. | |The work done was quick and efficient (4.5 hours), and they were respectful of my belongings and space, keeping things very clean. Description of Work: They visited my house, gave me an assessment of problem, which turned out to be several separate problems. They gave me an estimate to fix one of the problems then suggested that if I were handy, I could fix the other two problems myself without too much problem - and they showed me how. They were there about and hour and half, easily worth the estimate. I ended up fixing all three problems myself. |

Description of Work: We contacted Chimney Doctor for a quote on chimney repair work after receiving a quote for the proposed repairs from another provider which felt high at $3,500. Chimney Doctor scheduled the evaluation quickly and provided a detailed free estimate of the work to be done. Ryan Hall wrote the estimate and spent time explaining the work to be done, showing photos of the damaged concrete which he had taken during his assessment, and itemizing in detail all work planned. Ryan and his team returned to do the work, reconstructing the chimney crown using crack-resistant concrete and grinding and tuck pointing the chimney shoulder and and face. They then returned a few days later to apply an acid wash and waterproofing solution, after the prior work had dried and set. All their work included a 5 year warranty. Since the repair work we no longer have odor issue from the fireplace. I couldn't be happier with The Chimney Doctor NOVA and would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: Our chimney needed a complete rebuild from the foundation up. Another contractor had suggested to only replace the top half but their price was about $800 less than Chimney Dr. charged to rebuild the whole thing. They did an excellent job matching 37 year old brick and the job was completed on time. They were very professional and did an excellent job removing all of the construction debris. Recommended!

Description of Work: Chimney Dr. showed up on time and did work as described. Lead tech was very professional, answered all my questions and was enthusiastic about his work. I inquired about having more work done (fireplace insert)and there price was a little high so didn't use them for that. However the actual chimney sweep i hired them for was done well. Also i used them in the past to replace the crown on my chimney and that service was done well
