Excellent service. I called on a Tuesday and they came on Wednesday. Quick and reliable and very nice people, both office and technicians.

Once company was contacted, they were quick to perform estimate. They arrived when they said they would to perform service and were very professional and efficient. Final cost matched estimate.

Company rep came out for free estimate to find a solution to a very drafty fireplace. Robert was very knowledgeable and patient explaining everything. The office contact was very pleasant. Received a call when custom made cap was ready and men arrived the next day, early in the span of time we were given. We were shown how to use the damper. Took about 2 hours. Whole process from estimate to finished job - one week. Won't know for sure it has solved the problem until winter.

Chimney Doctor did great work! They did exactly what they said they would. Showed up on time. Even called ahead. They where clean and direct. Very professional. Once the work was chimney work was completed, they said they would be back on Monday to put up the flashing. Sure enough, the flashing was done by the time I got home. I will be using them again for both chimney clean and when my other chimney needs to be rebuilt.

While negotiating a home purchase, I saw significant brick spalling on the chimney, and knew I needed a good inspection. Most outfits won't inspect without a sweep too, which makes some sense, but the no. 1 in this category here wanted $365 for this work. That seems a bit high, though not terribly unreasonable, but these folks did it for $99 on a special. They cleaned the chimney, then showed me (on video and by inviting me to stick my head inside the chimney) the problems with this fireplace and chimney. This one happened to have not been constructed properly back in the 1960s, and so it needed to be lined inside with special cement (to keep hot gasses from traveling out through the porous, regular brick). Also, one of the flu tiles was broken, so the chimney needed a flu insert. Finally, the spalling brick up top requires a roof up rebuild (I had expected that) and they identified a dozen other bricks further down that need to be replaced. They also explained how they'd need to install a new damper, because the old one wouldn't be salvagable while doing the signficant work the chimney required. Finally, they explained to me why just converting to a gas fireplace wouldn't solve this problem. They did an estimate for the work, which seemed completely fair, but I won't have to pay it, because the seller's going to have to take care of this before closing. They mentioned, however, that they put a lifetime warranty on their work, and it transfers to the next owners, which seems very good to me. (I don't know if that's standard in this biz...) The guys who came seemed to know their stuff, and with some prompting, were able to explain it to me in terms that even a regular Joe could understand. I got none of that bumrush vibe you sometimes get with people, and was very comfortable. I'd probably have them do the work, even if the price were coming out of my own pocketbook.

They fit me in with a last-minute call for an appointment, arrived a few minutes early, and did a prompt professional job. There was no mess at all. They made a couple of recommendations but were not pushy about it, just gave me the written estimates and explained them (both seemed quite reasonable).

Chimney Doctor came on time and were quick, professional, and thorough. They inspected the two chimneys for our upper and lower floor fireplaces and the gas furnace flue. They cleaned our upper floor fireplace chimney and gave us estimates for future repairs for the flues for the two fireplaces and gas furnace. The estimates were for relining all the flues which they said were in disrepair and is a safety issue. They show us digital photos and explained how they would replace these old school tile liners with flexible stainless steel. We just bought the house so we are going to wait on spending thousands on chimney liners for now.

A duo of technicians arrived on time, were perfectly friendly and very quickly swept the chimney. They also left a condition report that indicated we need $2380, worth of repairs to address fire hazards. Fortunately, we will be installing a pellet stove and therefore will not be needing those repairs.

The main point that I'd like to make is that they were our second opinion regarding the state of our chimney and the fireplace. The first company we had out here (now out of business, apparently) told us that our chimney had been compromised by the former owner's use of an improperly installed wood stove and that we would have to essentially rebuild the chimney to use it, at a cost of about $5000. The Chimney Doctor told us that that was all nonsense, performed some basic repairs and said that our system was good to go. They were friendly, helpful and professional.

I am revising my earlier report as I have had nothing but problems with my chimney since they visited. I sent them photos of the problem and they have not responded.

They did fine. I haven't stuck my head up the chimney but I was pleased. They came when they said they were gonna come and they were clean and neat. They cleaned up after themselves. They left all the information about the warranty and all that kind of stuff. There was one issue with the permit. Every other company that came out included the permit price except this company. When I asked them about it they said they could get a permit if I wanted them too. They were pretty vague about that, but they ended up getting one. They weren't going to get one and seemed surprised that I even asked.

They were very good. They were just as good as advertised. They were professional and prompt. They were able to come within a week. The pricing was very competitive as well.

I searched for a chimney sweep that would use soft brushes for our "golden flue" chimneys (industrial grade poured concrete). I found three possible on Angies list. All three answered my emails, but I chose the Chimney Doctor because I liked the reviews they had received (and the prices quoted).

The arrived on time, after calling before they came. They came in set up quickly and efficiently and were done in 25 minutes. The best part was that they NEVER mentioned any additional charges for work on the chimney, this is a first for me. I would highly recommend the company to anyone and will use them in the future.

Arrived on time. Cleaned the chimney by both sweeping and vacuuming. Kept house clean. Inspected chimney and said it was in good shape. Did not try to sell me any services or repairs. Overall, very professional and nice.

We found their attention to detail and professionalism was superior to the other contractors who had looked at our chimney. They were extremely knowledgeable and the pricing was very reasonable. They were always on time and completed the work promptly.

Work scheduled quickly, team arrived on time and completed task efficiently. Visual "inspection" not very thorough, did not go on roof. Would use them again for cleaning but not sure there is any value to inspection.

They worked hard and overtime to have everything done in time for the city inspection. They did a beautiful job at repairing the brick they had to remove from the chimney. The job was very dusty. We had to cover and protect our furniture and floors ourselves. We should have covered our washer and dryer as one got nicked.

Good. It's a very steep roof or else we would have made this simple repair ourselves.

They were on time and worked until the job was done. The cracked bricks were taken out and replaced.

Very professional. They showed up when they said they would, were very careful about containing any dirt, and completed the job quickly. They noticed a problem that had not been noticed by previous chimney sweeps. They provided an estimate for the work which I will compare to other estimates if I decide to have the work completed.

It was great. They arrived within the time window and worked very quickly. There was no mess in the house. They made a thorough written assessment of repars needed or recommended and explained why. Very pleasant to work with them. I plan to use them for the chimneys in the home we just purchased.

We called the Chimney Doctor to stop the cold draft coming out of the fireplace. They were able to come out within a couple days and quickly diagnosed a replacement damper was necessary and suggested the chimney top damper which he was able to install right away. The job cost $325. However, while doing the work he noticed that several of the teracotta liner sections were misaligned and strongly advised that it was unsafe to use in that condition. He showed me the bad alignment and suggested a new stainless steel liner. I called another chimney repair firm who confirmed that if they were misaligned it was indeed unsafe. The other firm said it would cost roughly $3,000. Chimney Doctor charged $2,170. We had them do the work. It took them a few hours and they called for additional crew members part way through the job. They were in and out a lot, and on a very cold day frequently left the front door open. The work seems good, but a bit of debris was left in the yard.

Chimney Doctor did not believe the wood stove needed to be replaced, but did agree that both chimneys needed relining. Estimate for 2 relines: $4300.00. Technician seemed very knowledgeable, and he explained everything fully.

I would have preferred an inspection at the roof level rather than from 3 stories down on the ground. The fireplace inspection showed cracks in the floor. Instead of a several hundred dollar repair, the technician explained how to repair the cracks myself with fireplace mortar from the hardware store. A very easy repair as it turns out.
