Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps

Description of Work: Six Penny replaced my Chimney Chase Cover. They gave me 2 options, which I liked. The low cost option was to have the existing rusty aluminum chase cover scrubbed and painted over. The more expensive, but longer lasting option I opted for was to have a stainless steel chase cover ordered and installed. Six Penny did a great job with installing the new cover. The people scheduling over the phone were all quite polite. However,like most construction service-type companies they have some room for improvement with professional follow-up. Still the overall work was quality. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Description of Work: I've used Sixpenny in the past and was very happy, so I contracted them to do my chimney inspection and cleaning. They did a fantastic cleaning job leaving no mess, and their associate was very professional. During the inspection, he highlighted a few issues with my chimney, breaking out the critical issues from the "should do" list. He completed the repairs he could do that day, then returned as scheduled to complete the mortar work that was required up inside the chimney. Overall great service. I will use them again.

Description of Work: They cleaned our gutters and kept us informed as to when they were gong to do the work.

Description of Work: Repaired masonry and caulking around place in wall where gutter passed through, to stop persistent leak. Waterproofed brick walls at front and side of house.

Description of Work: Inspected and cleaned our chimney. Franco was the great. He gave us some advice on removing the chimney cap during winter (fire) season for better air flow in the chimney. He was through, cleaned up the area and was professional throughout. We feel it was the best inspection/cleaning we have ever had!

Description of Work: Chimney inspection / cleaning. Technician was on time, worked diligently. One nit-pick; they did not have a ladder tall enough to reach the cap to perform an inspection from the outside. Technician said his probes from the inside were good however.

Description of Work: They repaired the inside facing of my fireplace and the bricks at the top of my chimney after explaining all that needed to be done and answering any questions. Very professional and courteous folks.
