Sixpenny office staff scheduled the cleaning and inspection promptly. The chimney sweep/inspector was very conscientious and careful to protect surfaces around the openings of the fireplaces to keep them clean, and he was very careful not to track dust or ashes anywhere in the house. Sixpenny scheduled the repair crews to come out within a few days of the inspection. The demolition crew (who removed the outer layer of bricks from the upper quarter of the chimney) and the masonry crew (who rebuilt the chimney) were cheerful, hardworking and professional, worked steadily throughout the day, and thoroughly cleaned up all debris and work materials when they finished. Ramone, the mason, did a beautiful job, making our chimney look even better than new!

We're given lockbox access to vacant condo. Dryer would not work properly for new tenants. Discovered outside vent opening completely clogged. This is on third level of condo. Tenants needed to be able to use dryer. I cleaned the outside opening myself.

I had used this company previously and found them to be exceptionally responsive. They had shown me a video of cracks in my chimney cap and replaced the cap expeditiously. The tech had dislodged a screw during the first fireplace cleaning and couldn't find the screw, or one suitable to replace it, disabling my glass screen. The company replaced the affected fireplace screen door without charge. Thus, I called upon this company to clean the chimney again this year. As this was a routine cleaning, I have nothing extraordinary to report, except that the tech showed up on time and was very professional. Also, I have a second floor laundry room and he cleaned the dryer vent from outside the house, which I believe is more effective than cleaning it from inside the house, which another company did. Finally, they called to schedule immediately after I purchased the Big Deal - I mean that day within an hour or so! I would definitely hire this company again.

All went very well--they were responsive, able to book an appointment for the next day, on time, and cleaned up after themselves.

The vents were not that dirty so it didn't take long to clean them all.

Worrell did an awesome job repairing the chimney. He used sheets to keep my carpets clean and and was very neat and cleaned up nicely. He is a very polite young man and I would definitely use Sixpenney Chimney Sweeps again and I would request Worrell.

Very well. They were very knowledgeable. My only complaint, which admittedly ended up not being an issue, is that we said we'd get a 30-min call ahead and didn't get it. Would hire again.

They did a good job- showed up on time, and took care not to make a mess when cleaning the chimney.

Inspection went well, even though they found a refractory panel issue. Virgil came back the following week to replace the panel. He did a fantastic job explaining the problem and providing a solution. I would definety recommend Sixpenny.

I was given a four hour window for arrival (1:00p-5:00p). They arrived just before 5:00p. Both gentlemen were very personable and professional. As they examined my insert, they noted that they don't see a lot of pellet stoves. Apparently while outside they were in contact with somebody else from the company. It turns out that I my chimney was relined, but at a smaller diameter than any brushes they had. In the end they did not actually sweep my chimney, but only took a shop vac to the stove itself. Apparently wood pellet stoves do not typically suffer from the same residue buildup as traditional fireplaces or wood stoves due to the different fuel. Unfortunately, after they left, I then realized that the stove doesn't actually work. (To be clear, this is unrelated to the cleaning. I had not yet powered it on, and when I did there appears to be a power issue.)

Both a manager and a tech. showed up. Both were professional and polite. Chimney was inspected for $99 (Angie's List Deal) and cleaned for an additional $26. They explained everything they did and I learned a lot about chimneys in the process. Overall a positive experience.

They came on time and did a good job. They have told us that this won't have to be done again for 1-2 years which I hope would hold true.

$99 chimney sweep took technician about 5 min, $149 cap installation took about the same amount of time. Technician also offered to fix mortar on chimney for about $350. I was happy with service, surprised by higher costs/estimates than I expected. However, to be fair, I have no idea if costs are competitive.

They were a little late, as a previous job went over. But to compensate me for the delay they gave me a free dryer vent clesning, and it really needed it. The guy was very courteous and thorough on my chimney, cleaned it but said he didn'the notice any real occlusions, and recommended I preheat the chimney in the future, which I tried last night and it worked great. Overall good experience, and great at communicating and keeping me in the loop.

They did great work! The owner is very thorough and very responsive. He would come out and check to make sure everything was running perfectly. I would highly recommend them. They are very good!

I used the buy it now deal and they call 5 minutes later and I was able to get it done the next day. They arrive right on time and did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again. Very fast and efficient service.
