Scott Ison Plumbing LLC

Overall Scott Ison office personnel, scheduling and everything that has to do with remote assistance is great. The technicians that came in used a cheap 3/4 inch pipe, with a very cheap T-joint (brass, but yet cheap version) and used a wooden piece that I had to provide for providing support to the pipe with the wall. I would expect any technician in this background to bring in their own raw materials, but that is also fine. I just want to ensure that the provider and service technicians as a team understands that $475 is not bad, if they really did a good job or used good raw materials. I do not mind resolving this with the provider if they wish to discuss or come take a look at the installation, since the sprinkler system has not been put in place yet.

We bought our house about four months ago, and called Scott Ison a week ago, when we noticed that the bathtub was leaking through to the kitchen ceiling below. Scott was recommended to us by our property manager. He came out the next day (which was a holiday, which we appreciated) and replaced the gasket to the overflow drain (and charged $140 for 20 minutes and a $6 piece of plastic, but I guess that's par for the course - this is my first experience with a plumber). At that time he recommended we pull out some of the bathtub tiles to check for any water damage to the sheetrock behind. I could see that the tiles were a little loose, and given we have no idea how long this problem might have been going on, this sounded reasonable to us. (He then offered to retile the entire tub for us, for $1200, but we declined - a little scope creep going on there.) Well we emailed and called him for days afterwards to set up an appointment to do this follow-up work. It took at least four emails and voicemails from both me and my boyfriend before he responded. Finally he called back and said he could come this morning (Wed, 22 Oct), sometime "midmorning." It's now 2:00pm on Wednesday and I haven't seen or heard from him. Called him around noon to get an ETA, got his voicemail, left a message, and nothing. I understand that there needs to be flexibility in these appointments as sometimes projects run long, but this lack of communication is unacceptable - I get better service from the cable company :) I am going to have to start shopping around for someone else to do the work. Update 27 October: Still haven't heard from this guy. Dropped off the face of the earth.

Norm, who works with Scott, built the deck. He did a great job. Completed the deck in a week. Looks great. Norm did excellent work and a good value for the price. Scott and his plumbing crew have done various plumbing jobs over a number of years. I'm very pleased with his work and price.
