They did a good job.

I had no problem with the company . The owner was reliable. Talked me through the process. Gave me an estimate and stuck with it. He even came out to help me with color choices since this was my first big project. The crew worked well. They were nice and courteous. Overall it went all really well. I definitely recommend Shawn and his company to do the job

Excellent. Shawn's power washing and painting crews are exceptional. They are sticklers for detail and delivering a quality product. The power washing restored some pretty nasty (mold, mildew) areas to like-new condition on our 20 year old 5,000 square foot house. The painting was done incredibly professionally and the house looks brand new again. The 4 person painting crew was punctual, efficient and focused on delivering a top product. They cleaned up nicely after finishing. They have done several homes in my community and they came highly recommended. I would very much recommend them.

It was a very smooth process. The service writer got back to me right away to schedule an appointment for an estimate. We played telephone tag for a while after than, but once we were able to connected again, it was very smooth and efficient to get it scheduled. The men showed up and did an excellent job of cleaning the house and deck. The price was quoted for the job, and not by the hour (like some other companies investigated). The materials that they used left no unpleasant odor, nor did it damage any shurbs or plants.

We chose Precision Painting & Powerwashing Inc. due to their great reviews on various websites. However, we are completely dissatisfied with this company and will ensure others are aware of the lack of professionalism, promptness and sheer disregard to running a successful business. Shawn Pyktel not only never showed up or called to one appointment at our home, but TWO!! We originally contacted this company via phone on/about 25 April. Shawn agreed to come to our home to provide an estimate to paint the interior of our home. We corresponded via email and agreed on 4 May at 6pm. Both me and my husband arrived at home by 5pm to ensure we had our paperwork and plan of what we’d like to have done to our home to include painting swatches to go over with Shawn. We waited over an hour before calling his cell phone. He answered and profusely apologized stating “he didn’t put our appointment in his day planner”. The next day, he sent an email again, profusely apologizing and wanting to reschedule. We again agreed on 9 May at 6pm. Again, my husband and I ensured we were home by 5pm and prepared for Shawn. SHAWN NEVER SHOWED NOR ANSWERED HIS PHONE!! We left a message on his cell phone; no email, no phone call, nothing. Extremely disappointing and frustrating.

Cost was the best of the 3 estimates obtained. Power washing was done the first day and removed years' worth of dirt and old stain. Technician worked several hours to get all the wood surfaces clean. Next day, a crew of 4-6 spent the day completing the staining (we supplied the stain). Everything that was not to be stained (like the sides of the house) were covered in plastic. The staining was applied with a combination of spraying, rolling, and brushing. The end result is great--all the wood surfaces look brand new. Precision Painting did excellent high-quality work at a very fair price. A neighbor saw the work that had been done and also hired Precision Painting. The work on the neighbor's fence was recently completed and it looks great, too.

I contacted Precision Painting and Powerwashing and they were very responsive. The company came out and looked at my townhouse. The owner emailed me a quote and was able to fit me in within the week of him coming out and giving me a quote. The finish product was great. I am very pleased with the work that was completed.

Outstanding service, high quality work, excellent finished product. We used them over the summer 2014 to power wash and seal three decks and for extensive interior painting in preparation to sell our house. Very professional and excellent customer care. Considerate follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. Our first choice for any future work needed in our new home.

This company never was able to find the time to complete our job. He continued to call us and let us know he would be calling again to schedule. As of June 9 he had still not scheduled. We located someone else and the job was completed by the other company June 15. It is unfortunate that Precision could not find 4 hours to complete our job, they had such glowing remarks and ratings.

I have used this service for many items, including deck cleaning and staining, power washing, and other repair issues which I was needing to have done. Their service has always been excellent, fair, and yes, I would call them again. |

We have used his services at least five times. This summer he did power washing on the deck and painted a screened in porch. His prices are very reasonable. The quality of his work is excellent. He has always been very reliable, trustworthy and clean. He is professional and a really nice guy. We have never had a problem when working with him. I have recommended him to others who have also liked him.

It went very well. They were prompt in getting back to me.

Was very pleased with the professionalism of the crew. The house is clad in western red cedar siding and was last stained in 2002. The work was accomplished in four days and was done neatly and cleanly. Couldn't be happier with the work.

The gentlemen giving the estimate was very friendly and competent but the estimate was $2,000 more than the other two estimates that I received.

They were excellent. My house was really dirty. I didn't realize it was dirty until they did part of it and I was watching it. It just brought everything back. I gave the guy a cheque and about a month later I got a bill in the mail saying that they were going to send me to collections if I didn't pay. That was the only negative thing I had to say about them. In 10 minutes I had a copy of the cheque that I sent to them without apologies. For new customers they could have called. They obviously received it. Their price was pretty comparable to other prices. They were very good. I chose to have the hot wax application and that made it a little bit more on the price.

Exterior was carpentry replairs done properly and new and existing wood was properly prepared and finished to meet requirments; clean-up also done professionally. Would use Shawn and Precision when, and if, exterior repair/repainting needed.

Shawn and his crew (no subcontracting) showed up on time each day and worked straight through. They were professional, answered any questions and stayed on budget. The estimate was quick and accurate. We are very pleased with the work and would highly recommend them.

They did a good job, were on time, and handled various surfaces well. It looks great.

.The quote is for $3400. He is very personable. I think the people who work for him have been with him for years. I saw him working on a block, few blocks away from here and I was impressed with his work and that is how I got his card. So I got to see his work. He was re-doing the boxes around the windows, he had to re-construct them and he was doing a good job of it. I think my husband is trying to negotiate to lower the price and we have just not got hold of him. He gave a quote within three days. Another guy whom I had asked for a written quote did not give me one. I will contact this company for another quote in the future.

Only minor problem was weather-causeddelays (i.e., snowstorms; waqether unsuitable for painting) - not fault of Precision Painting; all empoyes professional, courteous and produced quality work. Affected areas were powerwashed, repairs/replacement of wood completed where required and necessary, and repainting performed in a timely manner; clean-up following work was more than satisfactory.

Okay on power wash of house and deck. Deck staining was a disappointment. I think foremost, they are painters. Product used for staining was a latex based semitransparent stain. It was applied like paint and the surfaces look painted. Stain went on too heavy and the grain of the wood is not apparent under the heavy coat. For power washing and a sealer, they would probably be fine. But I don't think they understand how stains are supposed to work and how they should look.

Shawn was VERY pleasant to work with, very professional, and provided us with suggestions for fixing up our back enclosed porch that had flaking/peeling paint everywhere. When he first came by to give us an estimate, he gave us a list of customer references, information about the paints he uses, and a very detailed estimate on our job. He even met with one of us at the store to research the porch panel options/prices. His prices being just about in the middle of the estimates we received and his professionalism led us to choose him. His painters were very courteous and worked diligently. His wood-worker (possibly a subcontractor?) was great to work with and got his part of the job done very efficiently. Our initial job wasn't as extensive at first, but because his crew wasn't scheduled for another job right after ours and business was slow, he gave us an awesome deal to sand and repaint 24 exterior wood trim around our windows. Even though we had a pleasant experience overall with Shawn, the extra work we paid for wasn't what we expected, and the reason for us giving a lower quality rating. We thought his crew would've sanded our trim more than what was done with the "alligator" bumpiness on the paint. He explained that the costs would have been a few more thousand dollars because we'd be paying more in labor costs to sand and patch 25-yr old window trim that didn't get much care over the years. Shawn, still very pleasant, agreed to redo some of the front door and windows that were more visible than 2nd story or rear ones. He explained that they did as best they could for the price. Maybe our end result expectations were too high for the add-on project for what we paid, since we didn't "shop" the 2nd part of the project. We received many compliments on our repainted porch with wainscoting ceiling.

Outstanding professionalism, performance, results and cost.

They did an excellent job - good quality work. This is our second time working with Precision Painting and Power washing and they do thorough, detailed, professional work. The owner and his workers are courteous and they did exactly what I asked and according to their bid price. They used the paint left over from the previous work they had done on our townhouse, so that saved us from having to pay more for a new gallon of paint. Also, the power washing knocked some paint off our front railing and although it took a few weeks to get it fixed, the owner did came back and he repainted the whole railing (which wasn't part of the contract, but he didn't charge anything extra - he said the paint had come off because it wasn't primed and painted properly originally (by the previous owner of the townhouse)). Overall we're very happy with their work and think their pricing is very reasonable - what we'd expect in the Northern Virginia area.
