The work was never started.

This was a horrible experience from start to finish. I was told it would take two days for the job to be completed, and it took over two months. The owner and two workers were never on time, and caused me to get a notice from my HOA after they took the shed down, piled up the debris and left it for three weeks in the public/common lawn area. I kept calling to ask when the would pick up the debris, and was told "tomorrow." Tomorrow took three weeks. Whenever I called the owner, it always went to voice mail and it sometimes took days for him to get back to me. OK. It was winter, I agree that the weather was crummy, I'll give you a couple of days delay for that .. even a week. This job was small and it took over two months to complete. Even the delivery of the materials was a total screw up ... which he tried to blame on me saying I wasn't home when the delivery people came .. I was home and they never came to deliver the items. The final product came out horrible - there are screws and nails sticking out, planks that have now settled and leave gaps, and the gate was installed improperly and the gaps mean that you cannot latch it. So, what's the point of having a fence if you can't latch the gate? The reason I joined Angie's List is because I need to find a handyman to fix a few things around the house including all of the fence issues! I think that if I called Frank and asked him to come back and fix things, he would do it. I am not willing to wait that long again, and I have no confidence in whether the work would be done properly either. This was one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had. I really liked the guy(s), they were very respectful, but could not be on time to save their lives. 3/1/2011UPDATE: my fence is falling down, boards have popped out, the posts are splitting. I am going to have to replce the whole setup. what a freaking nightmare.
