The carpet is bumpy and uneven. They left a huge mess - carpet cuttings and threads all over our driveway, which blew into our yard and is impossible to clean up, cigarette butts, etc.. They left multiple razor blades (discards from exacto knives) scattered on our driveway, and we have young children so this is especially scary. We also paid extra to get extra cushioning and I can feel the cement through the carpet. I called the manager to let him know and he never returned my call. The only positive thing about the experience was the salesman who was very helpful. Please don't use the excuse that this review is for a different company. I doublechecked the website listed and compared to the phone number we used and this is the correct company.

Working with NextDay Carpeting was an excellent experience. We did shop around for a best value and NextDay Carpet provided us the value we were seeking, They had a wide selection of quality carpeting to chosse from. The carpet was installed "The Next Day" and the installation was efficient and professional. Carlos, the installer, was obviously skilled and a very hard worker. We will be dealing with NextDay carpet and Flooring in the future and highly recommend them for your consideration.

Salesman showed up on time with carpet samples and quoted the job on the spot which started out at $10k and we nearly had a coronary and told him to take a hike. He phoned his "boss" on his cell phone and the price started coming down first to $6.5k and we said goodbye... and then if we would agree to give them a reference (like I wouldn't have anyhow) we could get the carpet we selected for the $3.8k that we ultimately agreed to. Carpet installation was scheduled for 7/1/08. It said in our contract that we would be contacted to confirm installation date which we never were. The installers did show up on 7/1/08 at 3:00pm and only had the correct carpet for 3 of the rooms for the 4th room the hallway and the staircase they had the wrong carpet. The installers didn't have the diagram detailing which rooms got which carpet and were wearing, get this, "Empire Today" shirts. The first carpet installation ended at 8:30pm. and I suppose would have gone on until midnight had they had all the correct carpeting. The other carpet we later found out, was on backorder until the 7/17 after numerous phone calls to the store and no answers to the messages left including to our sales representative we were not sure that the job would ever be completed. We only paid 1/2 up front and they had installed approximately a little better than half of the carpet. The backordered carpet arrived earlier than expected and was scheduled to be installed 7/14/08. Because of the screw up with the other carpet and due to the fact that the rooms had been disassembled (we had broken down the beds and bedding in rooms that are used) in anticipation of carpet installation we sought and received another discount of $250.00. This company drew the 2nd payment the day BEFORE the final carpeting was installed which we insisted that they reverse which they did. Different installers came to finalize the installation and all that I can say good about this company were that these installers were effecient, tidy, quick with their work and cleaned up after themselves. Overall this was a stressful, horible situation to be in and we wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemies!
