Horrible experience, Liars of the first order. Trading good reviews for themselves in exchange of promises which you soon find out to be false. Will make you belief that they will fix your issue, ask you for heir survey rating in advance and later just backtrack from their word Never deal with them.

Absolutely horrible!! Moonstar Appliance was assigned my American Home Shield service request. The technician arrived and looked at my washer for 5-10 minutes before assessing that a part that is no longer manufactured needed to be replaced. He went on to say that since the part is no longer manufactured, the washer itself needed to be replaced. As he left, he repeated the diagnosis suggesting what I tell AHS. Here's one problem. It's not what I, the customer, tells AHS that matters. It's what he, the technician, articulates. The washer has sediment in it. I wiped the interior 5 times followed each time by running a cycle using washing machine cleaner tablets. This was prior to creating the service request. The sediment obviously still exists because the technician's verbal diagnosis was to replace the washer. The second problem is that the technician articulated a different diagnosis to AHS than he did to us. The technician reported to AHS that the washer has mold and is functional. There was no mention of sediment nor his recommendation to replace the unit on the basis that the part is no longer available. I reached out to Moonstar multiple times to change their diagnosis to include the existence of sediment in the washer. They didn't. This has dragged out for almost 3 weeks in which we're unable to wash clothes. POINT BLANK: Moonstar Appliance got paid by AHS for this service request! Regardless of who is paying them, they obviously don't care about their customers. Stay away from Moonstar Appliance!

Moonstar was assigned by our home warranty company, Cinch, to repair a washing machine that was included in our home purchase. I called 9/3 and the were out the next day 9/4 which I thought was a good sign. No, they diagnosed the problem as broken springs in my washing machine and said they would be back in about 10 days with parts. They returned 9/16 and replaced all of the springs. Upon completion they were out the door quickly and we soon found out why. The washer was still not fixed. We called Cinch and they were back 9/17 with a brand new technician who diagnosed an entirely different problem and said he'd be back in 10 days with parts. 9/25 they show up with new parts and are quickly out the door. As expected, the washer still does not work. Cinch sent a different technician worse than the first. So guess what.... there's a participation trophy! Moonstar will be coming out again tomorrow to fix my washer. Cinch offered the choice of rehiring the failure or the scam artist. At least the failures showed up.

Our home warranty company sent us a contractor from this company. They were able to quickly and efficiently determine what the problem was a fix it. The dryer has been working well since that time.

Terrible! Technician basically called me a liar, said the stove glass-top broke due to impact, even though i explained it cracked spontaneously while cooling. Three times I explained! He wrote on his slip that it was "broken, need new one" but told the warranty company it broke due to impact so I couldn't even plea my case! Then the manager, Bobby, refused to call back after several messages. Hard to be called a liar, and hard to be refused good customer service. The technician was either poorly trained or ignorant, he had to bend sideways to even see the crack, that should have been a clue that there was no impact!

I was assigned Moon Star as a service provider by HMS Warranty. I specifically said I did not want them assigned to me, but they were anyways. Low and behold, I was told and did not have a choice. They came out, gave me no ticket or paperwork regarding damages on my washing machine. When they submitted their paperwork to HMS Warranty, they did not provide any information as to what was actually wrong, which, is now causing my case to drag out even longer. They are in it for a quick buck and could care less about actually providing a service. Angie's List has an "F" rating for them and BBB is a "D+", but it should be lower. Do not waste your time or money.
Description of Work: My washing machine stopped working and we could smell burning rubber. The drum itself will not spin either.

Non responsive for warranty service. Took almost a week of relentless calls before we got a hold of someone and were able set an appointment. No service conducted as I cancelled the appointment and elected to use another company.
