They were very responsive to my initial request for an estimate. Came out and did a very professional job. I would hire them again.

,,I was extremely pleased with the high quality work done by Alex Manzano and his crew, they were very hardworking and nice pleasant fellows. They all worked well together and Alex was there to direct them. they trimmed ivy around retaining walls, did huge trimming of over grown juniper trees, reset the stones in the retaining wall that had begun to collapse they did a great deal of clearing leaves away from property, distributing mulch all around the house and backyard sloping areas, trimmed some bushes being careful not to trim flowering ones alot of edging around beds was done, they carted away the debri, were very conscientious workers and cleaned up all the trimmings and ivy and took it away, they also supplied the mulch. I was very impressed with their high standards of work ethics and will arrange to have more work for them, they were also reasonably priced. A very nice group of workers who were knowledgable about their work.

needed help rescuing a totally overgrown back yard. Alex from Manzano consulted on the work i wanted, and scheduled a crew to come out within a few days of my call. They arrived promptly, worked very efficiently, and transformed the yard in just a few hours. Very pleased with the work!

I am delighted with service I received! Alex responded within hours of my email inquiry; got back to me within a few days with an estimate and had me on the schedule shortly thereafter. He and his team arrived promptly at 8 a.m. and went to work. Alex worked along side his team all the while they were, supervising and making sure the job was up to his standard. They were considerate of my neighbors and waited until 9 a.m. to turn on the power tools. They worked quickly and efficiently. The completed job far exceeded my expectations and the price was very reasonable. Alex was friendly, courteous and professional. I live in a townhouse, and only had a small job -- Alex treated me like I was his only customer. I will never use any other landscaping company again. Thank you, Alex!!!

They did a terrific job, he was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote, was able to perform the work in the same week and completely cleaned up after. I was extremely pleased with his service and have already recommended him to some of my neighbors contemplating work to be done. Alex's price was very reasonable - - as compared to two different company's that came through the neighborhood and gave estimates - - I was leary of them as they were not on Angie's list - - they made it seem like they were giving a great deal when in fact they were more than twice as high in price. I was very relieved after talking with Alex and getting his quote - - and even more so after he performed the work!!!

Great service! Alex is very professional and responsive to emails as well as on the phone. Due to the windy weather he told me that he and his crew would be here either during the weekend or the beginning of the week. The very next day he and his crew showed up and got the job done in just a few hours. They even neatly stored our hose!

We moved into a rental that has a fenced back yard which was really important for us because we have a border collie that needs to spend time outside. Problem was the backyard was just red clay. We decided that we would take it upon ourselves to have the yard sodded and contacted a local sod farm/installer. It took three weeks to have them out for an estimate and then never heard back from them for an install date. Looked on Angie's list for another option and found Manzano's. Alex, the owner came out for an estimate within a couple days of our call, the estimate was less than the other we had received and he and his crew were at the house a couple days after that for the install. A couple hours later and we had a yard. VERY IMPRESSED with the quality and service provided. Would definitely recommend and use again.

This was the best experience we have ever had with a law care company. We liked them so much that we contracted them to perform regular lawncare maintenance.

We ended up not having the work done, because we managed to salvage the grass for the season. If it doesn't come back in the spring, we'll definitely use Manzano Landscaping. I highly recommend Manzano's Landscaping. They did a great job on our yard, which needed weed removal, grass cutting and mulch. I thought our yard was a lost cause because it needed so much work, but Manzano's came in on time and promptly beautified our yard. Our neighbors were so impressed that they now use Manzano's. And the price was right! Very pleased.

Alex came to my house to discuss with me what services I wanted, and while he gave me a quote on the spot, also said "I'll email this to you so we are sure we're both on the same page." He emailed me that evening, and the work was done a couple of days later! I have very "particular" neighbors, so respecting the property line is very important to me, and Alex was perfect in this respect. I came home one day and my yard looked great!! I will definitely use his services again.

I called quite a few companies that either didn't return phone calls, I was out of their service area, or my job wasn't big enough for them to take on (which in my opinion is not a good business practice, as I have 2 acres of constant work available but can only manage projects one at a time). Alex responded promptly and came out on the same day to give me an estimate. He never tried to up sell me on anything, he simply listened to what I needed, gave me ideas on how best to achieve the look I was going for and we took it from there. On the day of the job, the crew arrived early and began working immediately. These guys were AWESOME. They started with the sod, they even extended a gutter drain in order to keep the fresh sod from getting swampy. The crew worked all day and did an incredible job. I look forward to working with Manzano Landscaping on all of my future landscaping projects and highly recommend this company.

From estimate to completion went without a hitch. I was a bit dubious at first as I had had MUCH higher bids. His crew are a pleasure to work with,ontime,courteous and talented. They are experienced and worked the whole day without direct supervision, all of them are Alex regular employees...not contractors or pick-up labor. The gentleman who did the stonewall is an artist, , he took my amateurishly piled pallet of fieldstone and turned it into a beautiful wall equal to anything I've seen in 'horse country'. The leaf mulch dealer was not open on Saturday so Alex finished the job on Tuesday before we even awoke. Not a leaf was left on the ground after their cleanup. Outstanding job by an outstanding company and crew. Thank you Alex!

Alex got back to me with an estimate right away. He promptly schedule the job. The company was efficient, the price was right, and the work looks great! I would highly recommend Alex and his team!

I didn't use this company as they are twice as much as other companies in the area.

Sometimes when you call him, I think his voicemail gets full. I will have to try to get a hold of him multiple times. But when I do get a hold of him, he's responsive. He's always polite on the phone and reasonably priced.

I have used Manzano Landscaping to mow my lawn for the past two years, and had been quite pleased. I also had him remove some stumps from my side yard, and again was happy with the work. My opinion changed markedly in April of this year. At that time, I requested the replacement of two azaleas, the trimming of boxwoods, and the removal of another stump. In the place of the removed stump, I asked that a new tree be planted. I was surprised when Mr. Alex Manzano recommended a Colorado blue spruce for the front bed of my townhouse. As a landscaper, I would have expected that he know how enormous this tree gets, especially for the very small area he would be working with. I suggested a dwarf spruce instead, and we agreed on a price for his services. He completed the work shortly thereafter. I was so disappointed with the work, that I wrote a letter to Alex and sent it to him with my payment for the regular lawn mowing service. He claims to have lost the letter. In that letter, I explained that the job was very sloppily down. The azaleas were running into the boxwoods and onto the front porch. The boxwoods had not been trimmed, and the workers had crushed and buried the downspout with mulch. He vehemently denied that the downspout was touched, but it was evident that no work could be performed in this bed without seeing the downspout. The downspout is in the bed next to the front porch and between the azaeleas and boxwoods. I wanted the newly-planted azaleas replanted in the proper location, but was afraid of traumatizing them. Alex told me that the boxwoods had not been trimmed because any further trimming would reduce their chances of thriving. Oddly though, Alex did not reduce his bill as would be expected when he did not provide the service of trimming the boxwoods. I brought this to his attention, and he compromised by reducing his price by $25 and the azaleas were not moved. I hoped that this was simply an aberration, and that the level of service would be better the next time I contracted with Mr. Manzano. I was wrong in my assumption. In May, I stupidly contracted for the removal of the boxwoods and the purchase of three azaleas to replace them. All of the azaleas are dying, within two months of planting and the spruce has dead spots throughout. The plants were guaranteed by Meadow Farms Nursery for six months. When I asked Alex to replace the azaleas, he told me that the azaleas were dying because I had not watered them. He advised that the nursery would not honor the quarantee under these circumstances. May was an extremely rainy month in Woodbridge, Virginia, so I did not have to water them. When the rain tapered off, I regularly used a bucket to water the plants. (Note: I used a bucket since my water spigot needed repair. It has since been fixed). He basically called me a liar by claiming I had not watered the plants. Mr. Manzano has become terse in his responses to my emails, I will handle the issue directly with the nursery and have cancelled all services. I suggest the name of this company be changed to Manzano Mowing since landscaping is not his forte.

From first contact to completion all was done expeditiously and professionally. Mr Manzano was knowledgable, flexible, and responsive to my requests. Overall a very pleasant experience.
