I didn't have any dislikes. They were right up front and told me everything was going to happen. If they ran into any kind of problem, they took me right to it and showed me. My kitchen was 30 years old. It looks brand new. They were fabulous. They have done more than one kitchen in my neighborhood. Everybody loved the work that they saw.

The job went very smooth, was on time, and fit perfectly.

I got the name of this company from a book distributed by ServiceMagic a few years ago listing the names of their top performers. Of all the seven groups I spoke with about the job, I liked this one the best because the owner asked very intelligent questions, listened to what I wanted, and was forthcoming about what it would take to stay within budget. When I called references, people raved about their new kitchens and bathrooms and a couple of them even invited me over to see the work for myself. Everybody on the crew has a specific skill set and they are rotated in and out as needed. They are a talented group and work very hard. They have high standards and are responsive to feedback. The project went very smoothly and was completed within five weeks. I am delighted with my new kitchen and bathroom and am already considering other projects for them to do.

Found JM Tile through Service Magic. The company responded right away and came in with the lowest estimate. The work was performed by the owner (Javier) and an assistant in one day. They made sure to put down drop cloths and to clean up after themselves. The work was done perfectly and exceeded our expectations. The only small issue that arose was that we opted to supply the materials ourselves to save money and did not know exactly which grout and caulk were needed, so we had to make a few trips to Home Depot the day the work was performed. Would definitely use J & M Tile, Marble, and Granite again.

I haven't had the work done yet, and I am not leaning in their direction. They are great on follow-up. They're really persistent. When they scheduled to come over for the estimate, they were supposed to call ahead and they didn't. They just showed up. I would possibly use them. They're pretty broad and can do a lot of work. Outside of the way that they scheduled the estimate, I wasn't unhappy with them. Their estimate was in the middle, but I'm not thinking I'll use them. I think the person who runs the shop may have miscommunicated with the person giving the estimate.

Working with Javier and his crew was a pleasure. 1st of all, they were very patient as it took almost 2 months to get all of our estimates from the 4 vendors we selected (they provided theirs early in the process). 2nd, they worked with us on the cost once we got all the estimates in, which saved us some money. 3rd, Javier suggested an innovative solution for the step-down transition between the kitchen & family room using a commercial grade polished aluminum strip that matches the hardware & light fixtures in the kitchen & in the family room. Once the project started, Javier made it a point to involve us in the layout process to ensure that we understood how the tiles would look at certain critical locations before any tiles were actually laid. Although we did have an alignment issue that was noticeable after the 1st day of installation, Javier & his crew did what was necessary to correct the problem without loss of material (tiles) or additional costs. In the end, the project was completed on time & on budget. The crew took the necessary precautions to limit the impact of the "dust problem" that always occurs during a tile project by covering HVAC vents, laying drop clothes on adjacent floors, hanging plastic sheeting around the work areas & in the foyer. Yes, there was still dust! Also, at the end of each work day the inside of the house was cleaned up as far as tools & debris; and the outside tile cutting work area was cleaned up at the end of each week & the end of the project. The end result is beautiful & we love it! Even some of the contractors that have come in after the tile work was done have commented favorably about the floor! We'll likely be using J&M to install our granite countertops based on their professionalism & costumer service.
